~~Prologue~~

~Scarlet's dream~~

I'm falling.. It's that dream, I've been having it for months now.. It's always dark and he's there.. I had to keep a hold of his hand and if I let go something bad happens to him.. I gripped his hand I couldn't let go even if I tried.

He looked at me and instantly I fell in love, like love before first sight.

I studied all his facial features, his eyes were to never blink, his smile was scared into his pale-leather like face. I was so mesmerized by his ghostly sky blue eyes.

Before I knew it I let go, he screamed as he fell further and further into the darkness. I screamed as I tried to fall with him but I couldn't I was stuck floating like feather.

I gasped I big amount of air as it filled my lungs I soon let it out, I sat there thinking about that face, I couldn't let it go. That image forever stuck in my head.

I soon was cut out of thought and into reality when someone knocked on the door "Scarlet, wake up you have visitors." Sid the owner Mrs. Beirman said.

I got up confused as I got up. 'Who'd want to see me?' I thought s I got dressed and combed my hair. "Hurry up, Scarlet." Mrs. Beirman said form down stairs of the orphanage.

As I got down stairs to unfamiliar faces "Scarlet these are your new parents." Mrs. Beirman said in a somewhat happy tone.

I don't talk that much after what happened with my actual parents.

They sexually and physically abused.

Soon after being introduced to these strangers that I didn't even know, they took me home.

We pulled up to their house, it was somewhat dissent. I got out of the car.

As The two suppose parents of me welcomed me in and showed me the room I'd be staying in. I was tired so I went to bed.
