I woke up in the middle of the night soaked in sweat from the nightmare , the same as always, him finding me and beating me except this time I died but I always woke up right before I let go. I searched for Jasmine worried that I might have hurt her and found her laying on the other pillow staring at me. I broke down remembering all the things he did to me because I wasn't good enough because I was nothing but a disappointment. as I cried I called Patience needing someone to talk to.

alright well I'll see you soon I'm almost there okay?

 

Okay I said hanging up

Five minutes later I heard her come in but didn't leave from my bed,I sat there staring at the floor with tears falling on my bed sheets-if you knew me you'd know I rarely cry -so when Patience heard me crying she rushed over

"hey girly"she said walking into my room she picked up Jasmine as she sat down"well aren't you just a ball of fuzz"she mumbled to the cat.

"alright spill"she said when I still hadn't stop staring at the floor

"I'm sorry if I woke you up."I said looking at her

"oh, don't worry I was pulling a allnighter mason wouldn't let me go to sleep anyway" she said wiping my tears away "your too beautiful to cry,tell me why please"she said gently

As I told her everything she asked me why I never told her and I explained to her how he threaten to kill anyone I told and that I couldn't take the risk.

"oh babygirl, you should have told someone"she said hugging me

"I know,henery knew, but I made him swear not to do or say anything about it though"

"how did he find out, uhgg I'm a horrible best friend"

"no your not, he hugged me and I winced, then he saw the bruises and made me tell him everything" I said. I finally had stopped crying and I was getting tired, I yawned.

"go to sleep we'll talk more in the morning"she told me , I nodded and layed down

"you can sleep here if you want" I looked over but she was already out Jasmine crawled over to me and curled up purring as I pet her. I drifted off to sleep but this time I didn't dream.

I woke up to the smell of pancakes , and not just any pancakes but Patience's special pancakes that she only makes for me, and only when she wants to make me feel better. I threw the covers off me with a big smile, then remembered about Jasmine searching frantically then I heard Patience laughing loudly in the kitchen so I ran in there to see Blake dancing in the middle of the kitchen with Jasmine in his hands as a dance partner.I burst  out laughing causing Blake to jump which made me laugh even harder.

"lord  woman, you scared the bejesus out of me" Blake said holding his hand over his heart like he just had a heart attack.

"y-you s-should have s-seen face" I said cackling like a maniac, which made him pout like a baby I walked over and pinched his cheeks

"aww did little blakypoo get scared, I'm so sowwwyyyy"I said in a baby voice, Blake just shooed me away and handed me Jasmine

"here, take your cat shes a horrible dance partner"

I gasped and covered her ears "how could you, your a horrible father," then I whispered " you know she's sensitive" then we burst out laughing breaking character.

I looked over at Patience and she looked at me with that look I knew too well, she was fixing to try and play match maker I shook my head at her but she ignored me.

"her Blake can I ask you a question" she said glancing up from her delicious pancakes at me then him.

He pause fork in the air eyeing her carefully "surrre" he said cautiously

"are you dating anyone" he shook his head no eyeing her cautiously still "are you gay?" I dropped my fork and looked at her

"no, I'm not gay" he said looking over at me then Patience "whyyy?"

"because me and mason are doing a double date thing tonight tomorrow and the couple that was going to go with us backed ou, so I was wondering if you and Haylee would like to go with us as a stand in couple,because we already made the reservations and everything so..."she said out of breath.

Blake looked over at me "if you want to I don't have anything to do"he said with a shrug of his shoulders.

"I don't either but what about Jasmine"

"my mom can watch her you know she loves cats" Patience said with a shudder

I looked at Blake "well then ya I guess I can go"
