I woke up, rubbing my eyes. My fight would be finally today. I wasn't too excited, but I wanted to get it over with already. I was hoping I could eat breakfast before my fight, but I highly doubted that I would.
I walked out to my balcony. The cold morning breeze against my face helped me waken my senses and sharpen my mind. I stood there for a few minutes, before I noticed two of my neighbours. Kai and some girl, who he called Skylor, were talking to each other on their balconies. I debated greeting them, but I didn't want to interrupt whatever's going on between those two.
"Good morning fighters! Can everyone make their way to Fighting Hall #1?" Chen chuckled over the intercom.
I sighed and walked back into my room. I changed into an outfit I found in my wardrobe. It was mostly black and grey, with some gold streaks fashioned into it. I made a quick sandwich for myself and ate it on the way down.
When I reached the room, one of the Kabuki escorted me towards the fighting arena.
"Y/N, Master of Creation versus Blake, Master of Darkness. Fight!" Chen beamed.
I curled my hand into a fist and aimed for her nose. She managed to dodge my punch, and she swung their hand into my ribcage. The pain ran through my entire torso. In retaliation, I prepared a sword in my hand. I didn't want to fully harm her, so I just chipped the sword against her leg, to try and make sure she would lose balance.
I was trying not to use my Elemental Power, but I wasn't willing to lose just because of that, so I felt like I had to. She seemed to have similar ideology. I'm guessing fighting someone with the ability to create anything at will didn't sound appealing to her.
I ran toward the Jadeblade, only for a darkness to fill the room.
"Took you long enough," I mumbled.
"Oh, shut it," Blake sneered, pushing me out of the way, so she could reach the Jadeblade.
"Oh, no you don't!" I exclaimed, as I prepared to strike her in the stomach. I hesitated for a moment. That would be fatal.
Quickly, I jumped around her and tripped her over. I almost made her a sword, she seemed to be struggling in combat. She was about to pounce at me, but instead she looked over at me with a frown on her face. Allowing the room to be bright again, she showed that she had given up. "Sorry," I frowned back at her.
I climbed up onto the rocks and grabbed the Jadeblade.
"Winner! Loser!" Chen cheered, "Master of Creation moves on!"
I walked out of the arena, towards the exit where everyone else was. I could hear the indistinct murmurs of the Ninja and Garmadon.
"You know, I didn't expect Blake to do that," Jay stated, whilst walking closer to the exit, where I was standing.
"I didn't either, Y/N must've said something when everything went dark, right?" Lloyd theorised.
"Actually, I didn't," I chimed into the conversation.
Lloyd looked confused for a second, "Why'd she just give up then?"
I shrugged in response.
Sometime later, Skylor had to fight a man named Jacob. Not too much happened during the fight, the only thing that interested me was what happened after.
"I hope the Tournament of Elements has entertained you as much as it has me. To thank you, I wanted to give everyone fancy jewels and untold shiny things," Chen smiled, pulling out a box of jewels, "But then in yesterday's battle, Master Jay and Cole tried to undermine me by teaming up and refusing to fight each other. And that made me very upset. For their insubordination, all of your fancy quarters will be taken away, and tonight everyone and tonight everyone must sleep together in the chow house. That is all. Thank you, you can go."
