My first fight was over a sucker when I was 2
Standing in line at the checkout with my Momma
Some boy thought he could take it from me
I ended up with a scratch on my cheek
But he didn't get my sucker from me
My attitude was nasty
I didn't like it when people messed with me
I just wanted to be sweet
To be me
But so many people pushed me
Telling me things they thought they knew about me
How silly
I'm way too free
To be anything but who God made me
I used to think my life was full of tragedy
But it was all just growing me
So I could stand taller than the tallest tree
Inhaling fresh air I breath
No more anger to seethe
