Sometimes, he thinks, why am I still with him? He didn't have an answer. After all, he never helped when Bakugou regressed. He shook those thoughts from his head. Monoma isn't all bad. That was true. He was nice when he wasn't mad. But on a particularly bad day, he collapses on his bed and grabs his stuffed animal, sucking his thumb. At that moment, Neito walked in. In a desperate move to get some affection, he made grabby hands at the other, hoping for a hug or something, to which the blonde scoffed. Oh no, he was mad. He whined, tears still streaming down his face. "Listen, I know you're a baby right now, but I can't do this anymore."
Somewhere in the back of his mind, Big Katsuki wailed, scrambling to get his composure back. "Wha'dyou mean?" Little Katsuki asked, confused.
"I mean I'm done. I can't deal with your shit anymore. Goodbye, Bakugou." His face crumbled as he watched yet another person leave. The door slammed shut, and he stayed frozen for a second, before the first sob broke through his shock.
He awoke to wailing coming from the room across from his and instantly was confused. Then he realized. Bakugou. He didn't bother knocking, entering his friend's room to find the occupant curled in on himself, hugging his knees and crying. "Bakugou..? What's wrong..?"
The blonde cried harder in response, so Kirishima decided to try to comfort him instead, pulling the crying boy into his arms. He rubbed soothing circles into the other's back, humming softly. Eventually, the blonde stopped crying, just sucking his thumb. Which was odd. "Wanna talk about it?" Kiri asked gently. Bakugou's bottom lip trembled, looking like he was about to cry again. "Or- or not, you can tell me later. That's fine. Want me to stay here tonight?" A frantic nod. "I'll go get some pajamas and be right back."
He'd heard those words before. Still, though. He didn't try to stop the redhead from leaving, simply watching his retreating back. As soon as Kirishima was gone, he grabbed his pacifier, hugging his stuffy close and sucking on the black-colored soothing mechanism. What did he keep doing wrong?
Kirishima re-entered the room to Bakugou sucking on an adult-sized black pacifier with a heart decal. Oh. oh. "I'm back!" he announced, and the blonde looked at him in surprise. "Hey..Bakugou? How old are you right now?" Katsuki seemed to think, before holding up three fingers. "Okay, then." he murmured. Bakugou made grabby hands at him, so he climbed in beside his friend. "Night Bakugou."
"Nigh' Kiri." That, he had to admit, was adorable.
Bakugou woke up feeling horrible. His head hurt, it was still dark, and he'd had another nightmare. His nose felt stuffy, and to top it all off, he was now sitting in wet pajama pants, paci nowhere to be found. He sniffled, sticking his thumb into his mouth. But it wasn't enough; he felt really bad and his pants were cold and sticky on his legs and his nose was all stuffed up and his head was pounding. He just wanted to go to sleep without a nightmare. Was that too much to ask?
Bakugou sure was an emotional kid. Kirishima woke up to Bakugou crying. "What's wrong, buddy?" The other didn't answer, so Kirishima pulled him close and rocked him, opting to ignore the wetness, and humming a lullaby he remembered from when he was younger. "Nigh'mare. Had a ac-...ashident."
"Oh, are you okay?"
"Yeah...m'sorry."
"Nothing to feel sorry about; accidents happen."
"I feel icky."
"I'd imagine so."
"Help?" he squeaked, seeming to regret asking. "Sure- how about we get you a bath?" The blonde looked at him, seeming surprised. "I'll run you some water, yeah? I assume you have bubble bath, and bath toys?"
Bakugou nodded eagerly, smiling widely. He stood, before going into the bathroom and running some water, pouring an excessive amount of bubble bath. He re-entered the room, picking up the little and allowing him to choose some bath toys.
"Do you need help?"
Bakugou looked a mixture of concerned and guilty. After a while, he nodded. "Okay, get in and I'll help you."
Bakugou looked at Kirishima expectantly. Was he going to help him out of his clothes or what? He supposed not, and attempted to pull his shirt off, getting tangled in it instead. "Oh, I'm so sorry- you need help, don't you?" Kirishima asked, helping him out of his clothes. Bakugou was getting more and more confused by the second. Was he not annoyed with the fact that Katsuki required all these things?
Brat! Monoma's scream echoed through his head. He blinked the memories away as he was helped into the bathtub. Kiri wasn't like that. He was nice.
Kirishima washed off the little as he played with some of his bath toys, making action noises. "Are they fighting?" Bakugou nodded, dropping the toys so he could use his hands to express himself. "Yeah, they'we fightin' a biiiiiig villain, an-an they're gonna save the whole wide world!" he said, grinning. Then, the little reached back for the toys before realizing he'd dropped them. "Oh no." he mumbled. Kirishima to the rescue as he retrieved the toys. "I've got them," he said as Bakugou's eyes lit up. "Mind if I play?" Bakugou merely smiled, handing him a toy. "That's the villain, an this is the hero, and I'm gonna save the whole world, you know that?"
"We'll see about that! I've got you now, hero!" he said, to which Bakugou squealed.
They clashed the toys together for a while, before Kirishima declared defeat. "Oh, you've got me!" he grinned as the other laughed. "Now, Bakugou, I know you have pull-ups, because you're smart. Where are they?"
"Closet. Onesie pease? Black."
"Okay-"
"Th-...fanks."
"You're welcome." Kirishima managed through his (Very manly, excuse you) tears.
"D-did I do somethin' wrong?"
"No, I'm just happy."
He retrieved the requested onesie and a pullup. The blonde got into the pull-up no problem, but the onesie was it. "No!"
For some reason, his favorite onesie appeared ominous. "No!" he repeated, stomping his foot for emphasis.
"Do you want a different one?"
"NooOoOoooOoo!" he screamed. Mina would know. Sero would know. They always knew. Kiri didn't, and it made him mad. So he did the only thing he could think of;cry. And cry, and cry, and cry.
Kirishima instantly panicked. "Hey, buddy, it's okay-" He simply cried harder. Bakugou threw his head back, releasing a migraine-inducing wail. Then the door banged open. "KIRI WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MY BABY!?"
