Episode 11: The boy savior and the knight Pt.2

Recap: 

After being reunited with her brother and catching up with him a bit. Natalie's brother Callan reminds her of the song their Mom would sing when they were younger. The more Natalie thought about the song, the more she realized that her mother was trying to warn them. About what and/or whom? Why he, of course, the one they call Silco. Turns out the reason why Natalie's mother, Dalia, was trying to warn them of this man was that he is their uncle. Natalie then tries to tell her friend, Ekko, about how he should return the hex stone. 

Once Nat gives the reason why, Ekko gives in. Once they get to the bridge that let to the glorious city known as Piltover, Vi stops saying she can't go on, and that she wanted to go back for Jinx. Natalie shows her support in Vi's decision and decides she wants to help her (simp). Once Natalie was able to convince Vi for her to tag along, everyone bid each other a farewell as their figures faded into the mist. Not long after Caitlyn, Ekko, and Callan run into some trouble and unexpected guests, enforcers!! 

Caitlyn tried to tell the enforcers and the chief that it was her, but instead, they tried taking the stone. At that time on Natalie's side, she had noticed something wrong with a little insect called a firelight, they weren't real. Turns out their little bombs, she tried to run back to warn her friends but just as she got there. (long recap go brrr)

~Onto the story~

"QUICK GET DOWN!!" I yelled, just as I did I saw Caitlyn and the others look at me. As if everything was in slow motion, I noticed every detail. The despair and shock on Caitlyn's face, the anger in Ekko's eyes as he fought the enforcer and Callan, the familiar look of the day I left him at The Last Drop, the day Mom died. The day that felt as if all the light in the world has simply been vanquished. Then everything went to normal again, I felt my legs shaking, and my body screaming to save them, push them to the side, to do anything. 

Just as I was about to push Callan down, the explosions went off. I felt the impact hit my back and push me down, I hit the ground, then my body felt as if it was being stabbed all over, it ached aswell. I glance up and see Callan on the ground aswell, stairing at me, "Natalie, why did you-" before he finished his sentence he passed out. I crawled towards him, "Callan?!" I yelled, then more explosions went off. I quickly cover Callan using my own body as a shield, as bits of the tiny bombs made a connecting impact, I grimaced in pain.

I glance up to see Caitlyn also crawling towards us, she grabs my hand. "Hey Nat, fancy seeing you here." She said with a soft chuckle. I gave a soft smile and nudged her, "Now is not the time to joke around." I said hissing in pain as I looked down, I then feel a pressure on top of me. I try to get it off me, I hear a groan. "You're making it really hard to protect you when you're squirming so much.." Caitlyn says as she deeply inhales. I then hear footsteps quickly coming towards this now doggy pile. I felt Caitlyn shift then groan, "Natalie, your girlfriends here."

She said, "I would ask if you guys are ok, but I'm more concerned on what the hell you guys are doing." Vi said as she kneeled down. "Keeping each other warm against the icy nature. What the fuck do you think we're doing? There's a literal bombing right now!" I yelled while clenching my hands onto my brother. I felt Caitlyn shift again, "It stopped..." she said, she tries to get up but fails. Vi helps her up. I look over to where there were once enforcers, but they were now dead. I look over to the right a bit and see Ekko along with Powder.

My body tensed, I instantly regretted that from the backlash of pain crawling up my spine. "Fuck... Ouch." I said as I picked myself up, I looked back over to Ekko and Powder, then a satchel was thrown at my face. "WHAT THE FUCK?!" I yelled after it hit my face, I picked it up. "EKKO, WHAT THE HELL?!?" I yelled as I held it up to him, he looked back at me and yelled. "WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS NATALIE, TAKE THE STONE AND GO!!" he yelled, I sighed. I put the satchel over my shoulder then lifted my brother up and put his arm over my shoulder aswell.

I hissed in pain, my whole back side hurt, including my legs. Vi and Caitlyn glanced over at me, "Nat you ok?" Caitlyn asked as she reached out for me, I nodded. "You sure sunshine?" Vi asked as she saw my hobble, I scoffed then gave a soft laugh, "I just said I was fine, now hurry up, we have to get this to the councilors." I said.
