Y/n has fallen asleep in my office..

On my lap at that..

As much as I want her to stay, I know I should bring her back to her room

I picked her up bridal style and start to head over to her room

But what I didnt see is, a shadowy figure staring right at us...

*Y/n pov*

I woke up to see I'm in my room, suddenly remembering that I fell asleep on Ayato's lap, just thinking about it makes me blush

I have to thank him later for bringing him to my room, I thought to myself

I got ready and head over to Lady Ayaka's office to see Thoma and Ayaka having a conversation

*Random author's note*

I decided not to put the vision hunt decree in this story bc I barely remember what happened in that quest, SORRY:(

-continuing-

"Yes, once the Traveler steps into Inazuma, I want you to greet her well and tell her I want to meet her, I believe you will do a great job at it, Thoma" I heard Lady Ayaka's voice

"Yes m'lady, I understood" Thoma said

I heard footsteps coming near me and saw Thoma came out of the room

"Y/n, are you here to meet Lady Ayaka?" he asked

I nodded and smiled at him which led to him gesturing at me to go inside

"Ah, Y/n, good to see you, come here I have a few tasks for you then you are free to go for today" Lady Ayaka gently said to me

I nodded and start working

Meanwhile..

*Ayato's Pov*

I was walking around Inazuma when I saw a beautiful girl around Y/n's age, she looks.. helpless and homeless so I decided to go up to her

"Hello young lady, are you okay?" I asked the girl

When she saw my face her face lit up a bit before saying

"No sir, my name is Chiyo and I have been starving for days, can you please help me sir?" pitifully.

"Well in one condition, you can live a normal life without being homeless" I said

"What is it sir? I'll do anything!" she said, now her eyes full of hope

"Work at my estate, food and drinks are provided there" I smiled at her

For some reason, her full of hope eyes was replaced with disappointment but accepted it anyway

I held out my hand to her and led her to the estate

*Y/n's pov*

Once I finished working, I went out to see Ayato back home, my face lit up when I saw him but then I see a girl behind him, just who is that?

Ayato came up to me and explained that the girl's name is Chiyo and she decided to work at the estate so now I have to teach her stuff to do here since I have been appointed as her senior

"But, my lord, Im Lady Ayaka's lady-in-waiting, I can't take care of a newbie.." I said, practically begging to not be her guardian

He sighed and said he would talk to Ayaka later and leaned on my ear to whisper I love you and walked away from me and the girl

I saw the expression on her even if she switched up her expression last minute

It was anger and jealousy.

--

I gave her the new uniform and told her to take a bath and she took the uniform aggressively and went inside the bathroom, honestly, what's her problem?

When she came out from the bathroom, oh my, I've never seen such an angelic looking human being

But I decided to not get distracted and taught her ways inside the estate and introduced her to my coworkers

They were all stunned by her beauty, no matter men or women

Except for one.

Thoma.

"Hey Y/n! Who's this?" he asked when he saw a girl behind me following me

"Oh Thoma! This is Chiyo, she's a new worker appointed by Lord Ayato" I said to him

Chiyo smiled at him gently but Thoma's expression showed displeasure

I thought it was a bit rude to do that to a new worker but I shrugged it off

Thoma leaned down to my ear and whispered

"Y/n, I'm saying this because I care for you, but don't trust her that easily" Thoma said and patted me on the shoulder and went on with his day

Why did he say that?

At the end of the day I showed Chiyo to her room and she went inside and slammed the door on me

I thought it was maybe just a coincidence but whatever,

I headed over to Ayato's room to have some alone time with him, only if I knew what Chiyo was thinking when she got into her room...
