Tim's breath grew heavier the more he ran, he was looking everywhere. "Where is he?!" Tim thought as he peaked through every door he stumbled across, soon he came to the last and kicked it open as a rancid smell hit him like a speeding train. Tim gagged and glanced around before walking in the room and scanning the surrondings, until he heard a soft cough and his name get whispered from behind him. Tim whirled around, seeing exactly who he expected, but, not like this. Jay was leaning against the counter, his head resting on his right shoulder.. and blood seeping out of his shirt and into his hand. "H-Hey Tim..", Tim stared at him until falling to his knees and moving closer to the shaking body infront of him, Jay softly smiled and coughed as Tim rested a hand on his. "W-What happened?!" Tim almost screamed as he felt jays cold hand, Jay scoffed and muttered "Alex h-happened.." under his breath. They didn't say much, who could? Seeing someone you grew to care for was staring at you with fear.. its- its heart breaking.
The silence was broken by Jay coughing roughly and lunging forward, Tim caught him and managed to hold him up as metallic blood dripped from the side of Jays mouth. "Fuck- this hurts.." Jay groaned as he gripped his wounded side, Tim said nothing. Jay looked at him, his usual beautiful hazel eyes were overflowing with tears that were followed by soft hiccups Jay almost didn't recognise as Tim. He stared at him before moving the hand that once laid on his bloody waist to Tim's soft cheek. They sat there for a while, when Jay smiled and sunk into Tims arms as he chuckled, "I never thought the first time i got to hold your face would be when im dying.." Tim choked on some words as he spoke "You- You thought about that?..". Jay laughed - "I thought about it alot, maybe too much if im being honest.." He whispered as he addmitted it all, "Sometimes I even imagined how it would work after.. A coffee date maybe?.." Tim smiled. "I'd like that..", "Me too, Tim..".
They talked about that for a while, a small coffee date on an autumn day, holding eachother, something so special that.. well- will never happen of course. Jay began to cough aggressively, blood slipped from his mouth and stained his shirt even more, he knew his time was almost up. "Tim.. Tim i- i need you to take my jacket off.."
"Why? You're deadly col-"
"Please."
Tim slid Jay's jacket of, being as gentle as possible. Jay told him to put it on, which Tim did. Jay's coughing got worse just like his body which was insanely limp, he couldn't move as his body weakened. Jay looked at Tim, using the last of his energy to say four words which would stay with Tim forever-
"I-I love you Tim."
