Stuck in a school while in a zombie apocalypse

A "normal" school day.

Kyle was fast asleep completely disregarding the mire existence of school, he was 10 minutes late but as if that would stop him from getting more hours in.

Well it wouldn't but his mum would let it stop him, the silence in the house was replaced with loud running and the screaming and eventually ended with Kyle running out with his uniform and bag.

MEANWHILE.

Finlay waited in the line to get in hoping just maybe Kyle would show up before everyone had gotten in, he kept sharply looking back and fourth hoping maybe just maybe someone would appear out of nowhere. Much to his dismay Kyle was nowhere in sight.

Kyle was barely standing clumsy falling over and tripping over himself desperately trying to get to school before the line to get in was gone.

The line was now just 7 people with Finlay being one of them he decided to look what he had first to distract himself from Kyle's absence, he had maths and sighed mumbling to himself

"damn it"

The line had shortened to 6 then 5 and then 4 it was getting shorter and shorter and Kyle was nowhere in sight. Finlay had a thought maybe he wasn't coming in but he couldn't by that from their call last night when his mum screamed at him to,

"GET YOUR ASS IN BED YOU ARE NOT HAVING ANOTHER DAY OFF!"

He knew Kyle's mum wasn't about to let him have the day off, him and Kyle were in the same class so he would see Kyle later anyway, it was now his turn to be checked then let in, he was cleared within a few seconds but something strange caught his eye their was a year 9 compulsing against the door to the art hallway he shrugged it off as a girl going through their cycle or something like that.

MEANWHILE.

Kyle finally made it to the door but to none's shock it was closed and he'd have to walk all the way back around to go in through reception. He groaned all the way walking there annoyed he had to walk more, when he got to the door he grabbed it and accidentally pulled it too hard and it slammed against the wall bouncing back and hitting him, he groaned again thinking 

"Could this day get any shitter"

After getting past reception he checked what he had, it was maths he had to walk more he grudgingly made his way to maths. When he had gotten down the maths corridor to his class which was at the bottom of the hall, he too noticed the strange compulsing girl and assumed she was just being dramatic walking inside his maths class.

Kyle sat down and got his equipment out, he ripped a little bit of paper out of his book writing 

"Hi"

On it, once he was done he scrolled it up and threw it to Finlay who was actually doing the work,  Ben who was the boy next to Finlay noticed the note and passed it to Finlay. Finlay read it and wrote on it

"finally here lol why r u so late"

He scrolled it back up and tossed it to Kyle, it missed him by a longshot landing in the loud girl Lousy's hair who immediately ripped it and started shouting at Finlay however Finlay just continued his work ignoring her.

After that the lesson continued with the maths teacher giving both of them minus one's, after a few minutes a teacher came in calling the maths teacher over.

The teacher whispered to the maths teacher

"we've got a situation with a girl from year 9 we need some first aid and, your the only person close to here who has the training"

The maths teacher circled back grabbing his first aid kit and ran outside, the class all began talking. Kyle got up and walked over to Ben and Finlay he told Finlay he slept in again to neither Finlay or Ben's surprise Finlay mentioned the girl compulsing being slightly concerned only to be laughed at by Ben and Kyle who shrugged it off saying it was probably hormones or something.
