September was nearing.

"I can't believe school is starting soon." I told Richie, as we walked to the lake.

Bill said he wanted to meet all the Loser's there, so that we could talk about the summer.

Richie shrugged. "Oh by the way, I have two backpacks now."

I glanced at him. "Why?"

"In case Bowers decides to shit in it again."

I burst out laughing. "Okay, I will say that when you told us what he did, I thought it was the funniest thing ever."

"You asshole." Richie picked me up and flung me over his shoulder.

"Richie!" I squealed. "Put me down you dipshit!"

"Not until you learn your manners hot stuff." he said smugly.

"Don't ever call me that again Tozier." I snarled.

We neared the lake, where Bill, Beverly, Eddie and Stan were sitting on the grass. Stan was wearing a bandage on his face.

"Hello and good evening people!" Richie said loudly.

"It's two in the afternoon Richie." Eddie sighed.

Richie set me down and I kicked his leg, causing him to literally collapse to the ground. I giggled. Richie pointed the middle finger at me as I sat down between him and Eddie.

"I still don't understand how the fuck you two are dating." Eddie pointed between us, shaking his head.

I put my arm around Eddie. "You see Eddie Bear, when two people love each other very much-"

"Oh look there's Ben and Mike!" Stan cut me off, pointing to where Mike and Ben were now walking towards us.

"Hey homeschool!" I called out.

"Hamburger Helper!" Richie waved to Ben.

Everyone sat down in a circle. This was the first time we were talking what had happened.

"I can only remember parts." Beverly spoke up. "But....I thought I was dead. That's what it felt like. I saw us...all of us, back together in the cistern, but we were older. Like our parents ages."

We gazed at her.

"W-w-what were we all doing there?" questioned Bill.

"I just remember how we felt. How scared we were. I don't think I can ever forget that."

Bill stood up, grabbing a piece of glass from the grass in front of him. "Swear it. S-s-swear if it isn't dead, if it ever comes back, we'll come back too."

"PREACH!" I thrust a fist in the air.

For once, Richie was the more mature one and he grabbed my hand and pulled it down. "Not the time." he whispered.

"Sorry."

Bill glanced at me before looking back at everyone else. Beverly stood up. Then Richie and I stood up too. Slowly, everyone else stood up and we watched Bill as he lowered the piece of glass to his palm. Mike let out a breath.

Bill grimaced and made a cut on his palm. Then he moved to Richie. "Fuck." Richie shook his hand. Bill then cut mine, and I winced.

"You have good pain tolerance." Richie said to me.

After Bill cut everyone's palms, we stood in our circle and held hands. I looked up at Richie, to find that he was already looking at me. We smiled. I glanced at Eddie. I wonder if he's thinking about AIDS.

"I gotta go." Stan said suddenly.

We looked at him.

"I hate you." he said, with a straight face.

We looked down, until Stan smiled and we giggled.

"I'll see you guys later." Stan broke away from the group and walked away.

"Bye Stan." Bill said.

"Bye Stan, baby!" I cried. "I love you!"

Stan glanced back and rolled his eyes at me. "I love you too October!" he called, turning back as he kept walking.

Eddie hugged me tightly, then Richie. "Bye guys."

"Bye Eddie bear." I kissed his cheek.

He smiled and walked off too. Soon, Mike and Ben left too, so me, Richie, Bill and Beverly were left.

"I think we're going to go too." I said.

I pulled Bill into a tight hug. My best friend. He's been through so much this past year.

We said goodbye, and left the lake.

"Oh!" Richie said suddenly, when we got on our bikes.

"What?" I looked at him. "Are you okay?"

He grinned. "Yeah. Follow me."

We got on our bikes and started riding through town.

"Richie!" I called out. "Just tell me where the fuck we're going please!"

Richie never answered. He just kept going.

I let out an frustrated groan. Soon, we arrived at the......

"Kissing bridge?" I asked, getting off my bike. "This is such a dumb place it's so corny."

Richie took my hand. "I know, but look."

He pointed to an area of the bridge and I really wanted to cry.

O+R

I kissed him. "This is the dumbest thing ever. But I love you for it."

Richie smiled, kissing back.
