Julie was busy studying for a big exam she had the following Monday. She had been locked in her room all day pouring over her notes. If she didn't pass this exam...

"Julie!" Her mom called.

Julie didn't hear because she had her headphones in, blaring music. She underlined, highlighted, and starred her notes. Her mind was in overdrive.

"Julie!" Her mom called again.

"What?!" She screamed, pulling her headphones out.

"You better be getting ready for bed. I don't want you complaining about you lack of sleep because you didn't go to bed on time!" Her mom called.

Julie groaned and put aside her books. She quickly threw on her pajamas, brushed her teeth, pulled her hair back, and washed her face. She sighed as she shut her door.

"Night, mom!"

She burrowed herself underneath the covers when there was a tap at her window. She opened her eyes and stared. Nothing. And then another.

"What the---" Julie got up and ventured to the window.

Michael stood at the bottom of her window. His eyes were trained on her. He chucked something at her.

She picked it up and laughed. Instead of rocks, it was a pair of socks. Only Michael would be afraid of breaking the window.

"What are you doing?" She whispered.

"Coming up?" He stated as if it was so obvious.

Before Julie could object, he hoisted himself into the tree. Julie just stared as he moved from branch to branch. Every few seconds Michael would curse, the branches hitting his face or his hands had begun to slip. And then he climbed through her window.

"What are you doing here?" Julie hissed.

"Spending the night with you. You know I have to go on tour. I leave tomorrow." He reminded her.

Julie smiled, choking back the tears that had formed in her eyes.

"Hey. Shhh. I'll be back before you know it. Besides. Remember we don't say goodbye. We say see you soon." Michael kissed her.

They stayed up all night. Julie wrapped securely in Michael's arms; cuddled up to his chest. And even though it was the last day before he left, it was perfect.
