Chapter 1
I woke up in a daze. Huh? What...happened?
I looked at my hands and feet. Still there. I touched my head, nothing's changed.
Wait.
My hands moved back to my head, it felt heavy and full of hair. That's odd, I have short hair. My hands pulled out a long piece of hair. Light strawberry blonde curls unfurled through my hands. This looks like it belongs on a doll. I stood up warily and started to notice my surroundings. Everything looked outdated, from the floral painted walls to the lion feet cabinets.
This is wrong. Where am I?
The last thing I remembered was that I was late for work. Traffic was light so I decided to drive faster when I suddenly heard a loud honk and flashing lights. Then...here I am.
But where is here?
I walked about slowly and found a small mirror framed by metal vines with a short handle on a long thin table. There were many other little trinkets strewn all over it as well. I grabbed the mirror and braced myself. Of course, it wasn't me who stared back. The reflection showed a young lady of about 20, with round brown eyes. Panic started to gurgle in my throat, I felt sick. Was I reborn or something..?
"My Lady?"
I whirled at the sound of the voice. A teenager in a maid outfit was at the door. Weirder still, she had pale blue hair and eyes. What kind of cosplay joke is this? It seems she has been knocking for some time and after hearing no response, decided to come in. "Ma'am it's time for dinner. The Baron is waiting for you."
"Um..-" I gasped. Even my voice sounded different! I wanted to scream and shout, 'What the hell is going on?!' -but I gulped it down. Calm down. I needed time to think but right now it's probably better to just go with the flow and follow this girl.
"Alright, show me the way," I said and saw the girl quickly looked back as though surprised. Did I say something wrong? Never mind. She led me downstairs where a few candles were lit. We arrived at a long dinner table where some delicious looking food were served.
At the end of the table sat a skeleton. Ahem. Well, an extremely thin old man. He basically looked like a walking skeleton. I kept my cool and ate dinner. It was, admittedly delicious, albeit strange. There were many people in servant clothes standing by silently. No words were exchanged between me and the skeleton either. It seemed to be normal, this type of situation and truthfully, I was thankful to be able to keep my mouth shut.
When I finally got back to my room (It was my room, wasn't it?) I ransacked the whole place. There must be a clue. Anything. I searched through the wardrobe where at least ten dresses, all in different colours, were stored. I looked through the tables and saw powder boxes, pot purees and many odd-looking bottles with even odder-looking labels. Did I just saw mercury on one of those bottles?
Never mind. I shook my head as I checked under the bed. Jackpot! A book binded in a hardback dark green cover with a pink ribbon tied around it. I opened the book and read its contents till daybreak.

By the time I woke up, it was daytime again. All the candles were blown out meaning the servant girl came in but didn't wake Cecilia up.
