Inside of the homeland, elk graze, on the outside, there lays villages and towns of every style. Inside of the castle, he rests his weak arms on his bedpost, calmly declining the presence of the servant. I look out the window onto the rural fields that surround the castle. The sun beaming its remaining rays down until it casts itself to the other side of the world.
"Maroon," I hear a grumble from the side of me. "Maroon!" the grumble grew louder, I snapped my head to my left.
I stood tall. "Coming," I followed the same footsteps as the servants; one foot at a time, and steady pace. "Yes, father?"
He looked at me, studying my expression. "I grant you permission," he cleared his throat.
I looked, his eyes were filled with sincerity. "Are you sure?" I asked.
He nodded, I jumped up and raced to the door, closing it as I ran down the dim-lit corridor to my bedroom. Into my room, the walls are made of stone, gray stone; the chandelier glows with all its might, and a bright glow of the moon peaks through the drapes that hang above the open window.
