Karl turns the brass doorknob and pushes open the door, "Hello everyone!" He scans the room in front of him. It's a garden with dense, winding vines that go up to the roof of the greenhouse. There's small vibrant blue and purple flowers that grow off the vines. The space is filled with other small and large flowers, all at different growths. The crowded cobblestone path has moss and small white flowers growing in a few spots, starting straight up at the available sunlight.
Every so often there is a stone statue of a person he supposedly once knew. The first statue on the path is overgrown with flowers and is a piglin man with a red-ish colored eye. He moves the flowers over to reveal a small nameplate near the base of the statue. Porkius VII. He doesn't remember who he is or why his statue appeared but he is glad that he is here anyways.
Walking up the path further he passes by another statue that's also overgrown with flowers but these flowers are red and pink. It's a man with goggles hanging around his neck with regular pants and shirt and fingerless gloves. John. His name plate reads. He only feels...sad? When he looks at this statue.
Kiddie corner to this statue is a statue of a man with a vest, shirt, and pants. He moves some small orange flowers to the side. John John. Karl smiles to himself. What a strange name.
Karl continues walking up the path. He feels a sense of longing and sadness while passing by the numerous statues. He wishes he knew all of their names by heart. He wishes he knew what their favorite color was, what they liked to do most, what they did, and most importantly, how they all got here.
Karl finally reaches his destination. He is standing in a wide, half circle area made of stone and cobblestone. Statues line the floor and walls reaching high up into the room. Strangely, these statues are here without a name attached to them. Some of the statues have flowers, vines, and even some butterflies on them. There's a few statues of just seemingly regular men and women but some look very different compared to the others. There is a darker statue that is very tall with small greenish eyes. There's also a statue of a man with a big red and white cape and crown. The biggest statue is someone with a flat face with an 'X' over where his eyes should be along with a smile and many rings and arms around and by the statue. He really wishes he knew who this person signified or at least had more things written on them.
Every statue he looks at in this room gives him a feeling of loss, confusion, and longing. His eye however catches on to a new statue that made itself home. Its near the edge of the circle, next to a small flowing stream with fiery orange and yellow flowers reaching towards it. He walks over and stares at the new statue.
It appears to be a man with small horns coming out of the top of his head. He has a cloth wrapped around his head with messy hair. His clothes are a basic shirt, pants, and shoes. Anyone else may have not given him a second look but Karl feels different about this one. He looks down near the base and reads the name. Sapnap.
"I feel like I should know you.." He trails off. He pulls out his purple writing book and looks through the pages. He flips through dozens of pages, looking back between various different sketches of all different kinds of people until he finally sees one that matches the statue's look.
There are a few things written but almost everything has been scribbled out. He scans through all the different crossed out messages, trying to see if he can read past any of the scribbles to no avail. When he gets to the bottom he eyes widen and all he feels is complete and utter sadness at what he reads.
"Fiance 2 <3."
Fiance 2? Who is Fiance one? He flips through some more pages, looking for any clue to no avail.
He tries to remember something about this person. "Sapnap.." He says aloud, testing to see if that would spark anything, but it doesn't work.
He stares into the statue's eyes. He can only feel confusion and sadness, he can't remember who he is.
Why can't I remember! His eyebrows scrunched together,
"I'm sorry, but I can't remember you. I wish I knew who you were." He talks to the statue, he drops the book down, looking them in the eyes. He stands and stares at the statue for what seems like an eternity and lets out a breath, "I'm sorry."
He closes his book and drops it to the ground, sitting next to where it lands. He leans his back against the statue and closes his eyes, resting up for his next adventure.
He can't see it, but just under the statue's left eye, a small crack forms, leaving a small scar in the stone.
