It isn't a busy day at Izuku's shop today, selling hero suits to people doesn't cope well with what the reality is like lately. There are still heroes out there, but just like Izuku they're mostly trying to keep their noses out of people's business. Which also means, they don't really wear flashy suits anymore.

Izuku thinks it's childish, for heroes to hide away like that because of some mysterious villain that kills people with a big explosion of fire and ice. But then again, Izuku's cowering away in his shop as well, because there's not much you can do with a power that's too big for your body to control.

He wanted to learn how to control the power All Might gave him, but never got the chance to.

Izuku still remembers what it was like to go to school, even though his mother begged him to drop out after one of Izuku's classmates was killed in a fight.

School had only started a couple of months ago, but not even one of the parents got over the fact that one of the first years, Tenya Iida, was brutally killed during his internship at the age of fifteen.

It was all over the news and rumor has it many of the teachers actually got physically and mentally attacked by normal citizens for letting something like this happen, same goes for the

Some people continued the hero course, but not Izuku. Who stood there frozen in place feeling like there was someone missing when his friend was being slaughtered by Hero Killer Stain. Izuku'd almost been killed that night himself, but he got away with just a slightly defunctioning left arm.

No matter how much he wanted to keep going to school and follow the program, after the murder his mother just wanted Izuku to hide the power he got and go to a normal high school.

That was about five years ago, and Izuku did as she said with pain in his heart.

He still doesn't know if it was the right choice to leave; he could've been able to change the world. Maybe if he'd continued and fought the villains that now roam the streets freely, the world might've been a better place. But instead he's hiding away in a clothing store he started not long after dropping out of normal High School after just one year of it. He just couldn't stand going to school.

Izuku leans with his ell bows on the wooden counter and sighs. He knows he should get a different job now that most heroes have stopped trying to counterattack the villains, but he doesn't want to.

Izuku listens to what's going on outside; there's a lot of commotion happening in the street. There's more people talking and wandering the streets then they have been doing for the past years.

For the first time in days, maybe in weeks even, the little bell of the shop rings.

It actually startles Izuku, because he hasn't heard it in such a long time. His usual day at work isn't at all eventful, sometimes he draws a little or reads or writes, but today seems different.

A figure wearing a black raincoat limps into Izuku's shop. They draw a line of globbed blood across the wooden floor of Izuku's shop. The person leans against the wall, sneaking a peek outside through the window before their overshadowed eyes glare at Izuku from across the room.
