"ladies and gentlemen, we are back in the studio with our one and only, international sensation, sunny!"
the crowds in the audience cheered and clapped as the bands started to play some music. i grinned and clapped along with the crowds.
"sunny is from malaysia while i'm from england. we're really from different countries and different cultures. so, today, we are going to learn about sunny's culture and my culture. we're going to exchange as much as informations to learn about each other's culture."
"alright, sunny! are you ready?"
"i am," i grinned and nodded.
"great! so, let's start with language. how many languages do you speak now?"
"i can speak english, malay, korean, japanese, mandarin and a little bit of cantonese," i replied and smiled.
"so, you can speak six languages," he said.
"yes," i nodded and grinned when seeing his reaction. i laughed.
"so, where did you learn all these languages?"
"english, malay and mandarin are what my family members speak in our household. it's like basic languages we need to learn as soon as we are born. i learn korean and japanese before i came to south korea to train. i just learned cantonese a few weeks ago."
"you're really amazing. so, you are going to teach me...?"
"i am going to teach you, malay. my mother tongue language."
"great. so,"
"so, i'm going to teach you how to say hello and introduce yourself first," i said to him.
"alright," he nods.
"hai semua, nama saya corden (hello everyone, my name is corden)," i said slowly so he could catch up to me.
"hai semua, nama saya corden," he repeats and i widened my eyes. "that was correct! that was really correct. i was honestly stunned because i just said it once and you managed to do it already." i said while laughing. he grinned.
"alright. let's do another one since you're so fast in catching up," i laughed.
"okay," he chuckled.
"program saya ialah the late late show with james corden (my program is the late late show with james corden," i told him.
"program saya ialah the late late show with james corden," he repeated.
my jaw dropped, "that was perfect..."
james smirked and shrugged, "i know." i laughed in response.
"okay since i'm so fast in catching up, how do i say to all the malaysian to watch my shows?" he asked.
"okay. this ones gonna be better." i said and chuckled. "malaysia, jangan lupa saksikan program saya dari hari isnin sehingga jumaat pada jam dua belas empat puluh malam!"
i laughed when seeing his reactions to the very long-phrase.
"it translates to, malaysia, don't forget to watch my program from monday till friday at 12:40 pm," i translated it to him and the viewers.
"that was long... but nevermind. let's do it."
and he did. he did it after about 5 minutes. i even wrote it down on a piece of paper so he could read it while reciting it. not bad for a newbie. i'm quite proud.
