You walk down the road in the abandoned town, the darkness surrounding you. "Y/N." A voice whispers. Your breathing quickens and you look around. "Who said that?" You ask, turning in a circle. "Y/N." The voice taunts. You put your hands over your ears and squeeze your eyes shut. "Stop." You cry. "Why are you hiding?" It asks. You open your eyes. "I said stop!" You yell. You glance up the road and see a figure coming towards you, holding out a hand. "Follow me." He coos. You stare at him, backing away. "Get away from me." You say. You bump into a wall as the figure comes closer. He's wearing black and he wears a cowboy hat that covers most of his face. He reaches out a hand and you stiffen. He touches your cheek and you shout. You block his arm and rip his hat off. His distorted face stares back at you angrily. You scream in horror. "You shouldn't of done that, Y/N." He grows, grabbing your arm. He flips you on the ground and kneels on your stomach. You gasp. "Get off of me!" You yell, struggling to shove him off. He puts his hands around your throat, choking off your oxygen. "N-no!" You scream. You gasp, your eyes widening. Your lungs burn and beg for a breath. You stare at the distorted person above you, his face suddenly morphing into Aidan's, your husband. "No." You moan, crying. "How could you?" You ask. "How could you?!" You scream. His holds your neck tighter and your body goes limp, your head lolling to the side, dead.~
"No!" You gasp, falling off of your bed. You struggle against the blankets which are tangled around you. You whip them off and toss them into a corner, your eyes wide with fear. "Y/N?" Aidan asks, waking up. "What are you doing?" He asks. You pull your knees to your chest and rock back and forth, that distorted face burning into your memory. Aidan gets out of bed and kneels by your side. "Are you doing?" He asks softly, touching your arm. You look up at him, your eyes filling with tears. "I had a nightmare." You choke out. "There was a man...his face was distorted. He was strangling me. I glanced at him one last time and he-he was you." You cry. Aidan frowns and pulls you into his arms. He holds you tightly against him and buries his face in your hair. "I was so scared." You weep. "Shh, shh, I've got you now, Y/N. There's no need to be afraid." He whispers. You clutch on to him, shivering. Aidan stands, you still in his arms, and carries you to the bed. He sits down, his back resting against the headboard, and pulls a blanket around himself and you. He kisses your head. "I love you so much, darling." He whispers. "I-I love you too." You say. "You are so special. You are beautiful." He murmurs. Aidan looks at you and wipes away your tears gently with his thumb. You snuggle against him, laying your head on his chest. "Thank you." You whisper. You both scoot down in bed, Aidan's arms still around you. Your head is against his heart and you close your eyes, your breaths matching his. He rubs your back until you feel yourself drift off to sleep. He kisses your head one more time before laying his head on yours, his eyes closing.
