Chapter 1
It was a dark night at the capital of Lothal. The streets were dimly lit from the cities lamp posts and the clouds covered the moons lighting. To most this was an annoyance for navigating at night. However for some certain individuals this was their blessing.
Outside the Imperial HQ dome a few streets away a squad of Imperials were stationed with a shipment of cargo for retrieval. Two other squads walked a perimeter keeping an eye out for any civilians or individuals who presented a threat to this very important exchange with their client.
One of the imperial officers stationed there walked the perimeter with five stormtroopers tailing him. Rounding the same corner for a fifth time his comm link went off. Taking the comm off his belt and answering the imperial heard "LR-C01 how goes the patrol?".
The voice was from the imperial waiting with the cargo wanting a report about the situation of the patrol. Answering back LR-C01 said "So far everything has been quiet. Has there been any sign of him?".
"No not yet. I can't imagine the distance he has to travel just to get here for this stuff. Nor can I believe the level of security we have to use just for this" the officer said with an annoyance in his throat. This wasn't his first time being part of this exchange, and every time they all were stationed there until about 3 in the morning on an average.
"Look you know as much as I do of the consequences about not honoring this agreement. We give him the supplies he demands and he promises to stay away from us" LR reminded the officer as he felt a cold sweat go down his neck just talking about this subject.
"I'm aware of the agreement laid out by the governor, but has anyone actually tried and test him on his stories. Sounds like just a Lothal myth someone's been taking advantage of just to get free stuff" the officer commented expressing his doubts of the actuality of the person they were dealing with.
This person was a myth born on Lothal who's story had reached the Emperor's ears. And while the emperor was sure he wasn't a Threat to him he did take caution with how to handle this particular adversary and not make an enemy out of him. So the deal that the governor of Lothal and the figure had made was a simple exchange of supplies for security.
This had been going on for nearly half a decade and during that time some imperials began to question wether the stories about this person's savagery was anything more than a myth.
Taking a moment of hold his chest feeling his heartbeat quicken as if the figure they were talking about was listening to their conversation LR said "Look let's just do what we need to and go back to our usual lives".
"You think the rebels would try to attack us while we are making this exchange. I mean this demons price isn't exactly cheap" Grint the third imperial officer stationed questioned as his squad was about to rendezvous with Areskos squad.
"I doubt even they are stupid enough to attempt something like this, but still we have to be alert for anything." Aresko said before turning off his comms and continuing his patrol.
Unknown to them there was someone high up watching them. A figure hidden in a hooded cloak was on top of the roof on one of the Kothal buildings watching everything that was going on. For a while he had seen this exchange happen each month and was quite curious about it. If he could've he would've just stolen the resources for himself, but he unfortunately didn't have the recourses or the skill necessary to take on the amount of troopers that were stationed. Even if he took out the two patrolling squads the one with the resources more than doubled the soldiers he'd have to face. Along with the place being so close to the imperial dome the reward wasn't worth the risk.
