Hello, all! I've been thinking of doing this for a very long time and finally, I just thought, what the heck! So here we are! Part of the reason why I love BTS songs is that I feel like they can have multiple stories behind them. I've made a "book"to post stories and YOU GUYS can try to guess what BTS song it is! Also because I love music in general, other songs may make an appearance later on if I get a Eureka moment from my playlist.

Also, please bare with me. I'm a full time student working over 30 hours a week. I write int he later hours of the night and do not have time to read over or edit my work. Not saying that it's terrible, but I am saying please be lienant as I am telling you that again: I have not read over anything and therefore have not made edits that you may deem necessary. I just wanted to get this out of my head and onto somewhere. I also hope you all enjoy and play along!

"Why? Why does it have to be you? Why-" she couldn't finish her sentence as a sob broke free. In a way, she always knew in her heart that this was his calling. Eventually, he would have the courage and bravery to walk out and pursue his dreams. His dreams. The dreams he dreamed so big that it consumed the entirety of this home. They poured out of him, wanting to be taken seriously and pleading to be made big.

She sank down to the floor, her back pressed against the wall and her hands over her head. She refused to look at him. If she did, she would understand. She would understand that his will to do this was just as powerful as his will to live. He was born with talent that he'd harvested through hours, days and years of grueling body numbing work. Nights of practice upon practice because the sleepless nights were filled with living dreams of what could be.

She didn't want to understand. She didn't want to understand that they would absolutely love him. The whole world would want a piece of him. Would he come back then? Would he change?

"Is...is not good enough? We made a home, dammit. We..." all she felt was a warm embrace that she naturally sank into. His strong arms wrapped around her and whispered that everything would be okay. He wasn't leaving. He'd always be here to melt her worries. Her sobs came harder, uncontrollable as the truth of the matter found it's way past all the frustration, sadness and loss she felt in the moment.

He had to go. Her love was good enough, more than even. It just wasn't enough. He had a fire in him, a passion that no matter how much she wanted to deny, had to be shared with the world. If he didn't, he may grow to resent her just as she may resent herself for holding him back. It just wasn't fair.

"I'm not leaving forever, sweetheart. This is my home...you're my home. I go out there to do what I love and it'll come with things. Material things that will feel empty without you. I'll come back to who I love. Please trust me."

Another sob racked her body as she held on to his shirt, refusing to let him go.

Hours later, they both laid in bed. She had fallen asleep long ago. He remained awake, dreaming of flashing lights and being a role model he always imagined. He also thought of her and made a promise to himself that he wouldn't forget what mattered most.

"Don't say goodbye," she'd told him in almost half asleep with her voice hoarse and eyes red from the tears shed, "I'll only cry more. Just go...please don't think I'm not happy. I'll always be your biggest supporter. Think of me cheering you on when times get hard...just think of me."

2 years later

It's been 2 years since he walked out that door. She never saw him truly walk out, only knew that she'd woken up and he was gone. In the span of 2 years, she felt like there was a hole in her chest. A void that wasn't necessarily filled with sadness or any time of emotion; it was just a void, the absence of him. It was clear as day.

She led her days with her own work that she liked to do. She poured herself into her colors and painted almost all hours of the way. The only thing that gave her a burst of excitement was opening his mail. He wrote her every week. Despite the hole in her chest, she could feel the joy through his written words. It masked the void for a few hours, then returned.

After 2 years, he was having a concert, here their hometown. Though he could come home, she wanted to meet him there. He'd sent her the tickets and she put on the very first dress he bought her. Earrings, necklace, everything. Her stomach fluttered with excitement, to see him perform with energy and will on a stage that faced thousands of people. She smiled in the mirror, a lip glossed image smiling back at her. She was proud. Truly.

The concert was breathtaking. There was so much excitement that surrounded them that even after the show, when she saw him and saw that he'd lost weight, that the spark in his eyes were like little twinkling stars, that he opened his arms wide for her to enter and had been blocked by the various swarm of people that immediately separated them. She watched him float away, his own eyes searching to find her again.

She was left watching from afar, numb once again. He was so close, yet they had been unable to even greet each other. She went home that night and couldn't produce tears to shed. She woke up the next morning without a wink of sleep and painted once more. She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard the doorbell ring. Exactly three times.

She rushed through the door, spilling her paint cans on the carpet on her way. She didn't turn back once as she finally reached the door and tore it open so hard the hinges creaked.

There he was. "Can I come in?" She just stood and watched him, transfixed, not believing he was here. Her muscles moved on their own, moving out of the way so he could walk in. His eyes left hers for the first time since the door had opened. Those bright eyes glanced around each part of the room as if seeing it for the first time. She remained speechless as he walked in and closed the door.

He sat down on the couch and pulled her down next to him before wrapping his arms around her again. When he shoulders began to shake, he knowingly wiped them without a mention of them. "You don't have to say anything. I'm more than comfortable to be back home. Your love," his voice broke, "your love," he placed a kiss on her cheek as he lifted her chin up. He kissed the tears away until his lips found hers, "your love," he kissed her deeply, pouring years of want and need he craved from her.

"Your touch," she murmured with a shiver. His arms were around her again, strong and protective. "Your touch," his chest against hers again letting her know that he was here was bringing her back to life, putting the words back in her mouth, "your touch..." she was breakless now with his lips touching hers. There was no more space between them, none at all.

"I miss that," he pulled away briefly to smile. It was sad kind of smile, one that said he was now realizing how long it had been since he'd been home. She placed her hands on either side of his face, looking into his eyes. Right now, they both reflected their love and desire. She smiled knowingly and stood up. He pulled her back down and kissed her again, "I want that," he claimed, as if he hadn't made himself clear before.

"Don't worry," she smiled and took both his hands in hers. She stood again and murmured, "You're home, now," she led him to the bedroom and closed the door.
