you were dressed up in the most beautiful of silks, (your colour of choice here) coloured flowers were in your braided hair. you were a spy, coming from celestia, to spy on the godless nation of khaenri'ah. being blessed with the boon of beauty, you were chosen as the spy in this mission. your (skin colour) skin was shining as you stood under the light on the dressing table. your makeup was like it was suited for you and only you. choosing a mask wasn't difficult, as you had an array of masks to choose from. you chose one that covered the left half of your face as you felt uncomfortable wearing a mask covering only your eyes. you had ten minutes till the ball began so you wore your heels and strode away to go to the castle.

the outside of the castle was covered in flags of the king, and flowers hanging from vines. the architecture was one to your liking so you smirked while looking at the castle. as you walked in, you saw the crowd already dancing, socialising and a few others.... doing questionable things. you were pushed by a dark haired girl, causing you to fall into someones arms. the orchestra began to play the next piece of music, to which the man who caught you asked, "care to dance, my lady?" you weren't here to dance but you figured why not and replied "yes, iʼd be happy to." you took his hand and started waltzing to the music, slowly loosing all the care in the world. you looked at the man in front of you; his deep blue hair in a ponytail on his shoulder, his white suit looking like one from a distant nation, his mask a shimmery white. he was tall, way taller than you considering you were (insert height here).

"so, whatʼs your name?" his voice soothing your every pain away. "y/n. whatʼs yours?" "kaeya." you definitely heard that name somewhere. "kaeya alberich." he spoke again, this time with a smile on his masked face. he was the prince of khaenri'ah. you were dancing with the prince of khaenri'ah. after he said that, he put a hand on your waist then signalled for you to put your hand over his shoulder. the piece had now changed. this sounded much more mysterious than the last one, which was calming, like kaeyaʼs voice. you looked up at kaeya the whole time the two of you were dancing. his eyes met yours and said "youʼre staring at me, y/n." your face turned a bright pink and your face went down. it was time to switch partners and you felt pretty sad as you moved away from prince kaeya. but at least you now remember you were here to spy on prince kaeya and the king.

an hour later, you finally got the chance to step away from the dance floor. you were hungry so you went to one of the waiters walking around restlessly and took one of the moon pies that were getting so cold. you sat down at one of the empty tables and had a glance at the ceiling; it was covered with paintings of the royal family, and some others. there was a grand chandelier in the middle of everything, shining so brightly. you could see a man approaching you, one glance and you immediately knew who it was. he approached you and murmured "hi again, y/n" he sat beside you and put an arm on the table. "kaeya... iʼve heard the garden in the castle is really amazing, is it?" he nodded and whispered "do you want me to take you there?" your eyes lit up. from celestia, the garden you mentioned looked really tiny, but youʼve always wanted to see it from up close.

"yes, please." he gave you his hand and you took it, stood up and you both made your way towards the garden. under the setting sun, you could see the flowers, bright green grass and that big tree which you were fed up of for blocking the view. there was a big swing under the tree too. "so, y/n, how is it?" he looked at you and laughed, seeing your mouth was wide open [like this :O]. he grabbed your hand tighter and pulled you towards the big swing. you looked at his eyes and kaeya spoke "to tell you the truth, y/n, i knew you were a spy from celestia. but that didnt stop me from liking you." you looked up at him and pouted, sighed then said "but how? i hid my identity so well." "dont forget i have spies everywhere." he smiled and winked. you felt disappointed and said "oh well thats fine." he smirked and cupped your face.

the spy who was supposed to spy on the prince, had fallen in love. that was you. you fell in love with kaeya. you took off his mask to reveal his whole face and smiled. "i like you like this, kaeya." he smiled and did the same. "and i like you."
