The Surenos went first. Again. Then it was our turn, I was in the middle of our circle, I try to jump on the other crews girl but DJ and Duron 'grab' me, I 'elbow' them, making them 'fall' I grab her by the shoulder and pull her down, as I dance Dj and Duron stand behind me, I back up do a hand stand then fall forward doing the splits as I fall the boys fall with me, then the other team go, then it's our turn, De'andrew jumps on his back repeatedly in a circle, then it's the other teams turn, then it's our turn, Dj got a bunny head from a guy in a bunny costume, why the fuck is he in some bunny costume, it's mine and Duron's turn, we started to do mine and his routine, during the time we took our hats under our feet switching them, we both do a hand stand with one arm, the other hand is in our waste, if you were in front of us we would look like we are one person, then we get down and stand up smoothly then I do a cart wheel but I don't go all the way, Duron stops me mid way by holding me by the waste, then he leans Bach with me, I stand up straight, then me and Duron move across from each other without lifting our feet off them floor, then we run to each other, link our arms together and do a back flip but we don't land it we make it ourselves slide across from each other with us facing each other then we use our heads to hold our body up, then we fall back, making our crew attack is us as Duron yells
"it's over!" I attack Dj in a hug as he hugs me and Duron
"hands down, the winner is The Goon Squad" the announcer says without hesitation, I smirk at the other crew, my twin brother lifts me up
"Twin it, to win it, baby, hell Ya" he yells while I wink and blow kiss to the Surenos.
As we were walking out everyone attacked me and Duron
"those were sick moves"
"how did you guys do that"
"how come you didn't show us" everyone was saying at the same time, as we were walking Duron saw a big sign saying 'The Future Is Yours' he stops and spray paints the 'Y' making it say 'ours' I lightly smack his chest laughing when the others. We were walking around by some train tracks joking when we were attacked by the Surenos we battled with, I started to fight with the girl, I grab her by the hair and smash face onto the floor, someone grabbed me from behind, the girl got up and tried to hit me but I blocked it using me feet, then I kick her in the the head making her dizzy, the guy that was holding me say
"hmm hey mommy" he says into my ear then licking my neck making me pull a disgusted face then I elbow him in the face then I grab his arm twisting it back then I knee in the balls, I hear a gun shot go of, everyone runs of except for me, Dj and the leader of the crew, I look at the body laying on the floor dead, it was my twin brother, Duron
"NOOOO!!" I scream crying my eyes out rushing to his side while pushing the leader out of my way, I hold on to his chest burying my head into it making me get blood on my shirt and necklace
"SOMEONE HELP, DO SOMETHING" Dj tells tears rolling down his cheeks
"GET UP, PLEASE, PLEASE BABY BOY DON'T LEAVE ME" I scream smacking his cheeks "DURON!!" I scream
"Diamond go get help fast" Dj says, I nod then take off running to find a phone or a cop or something on the street, I didn't find anybody so I went running back to Dj, tears still rolling out of my eyes when I get there I see cops carrying my brothers dead body away and my older brother in a cop car with handcuffs, he looks up and makes eye contact with me and he nods his head under the train I was hiding behind, I nod my head and crawl under it hoping not to be seen by the cops, what I saw under there made me sob even more but I put my hand over my mouth so no noise comes out, I grab Duron's black gloves, Duron's hat, the money we won and Duron's sleeveless army vest, I carry them and run off home, when i got there mom opened the door once she saw me in tears and Duron's blood on my shirt and Duron's bloody vest in my arms, she shook her head in a no and hugged me
"mama, his gone, Duron's gone" I say hugging crying into her chest
"MY BABY, OH LORD WHY MY BABY" she screams making me cry harder
"the cops think Dj did it and t-they took him to-to j-jail" I say through the tears. The next day neither me or mama got any sleep, I also used the money we won to bail out Dj and mama though it's best for me and Dj to move in with Aunt Jackie for discipline, yeah she kinds of blames us for Duron's death. As me and Dj are sitting on that train to Georgia, I was thinking about all the time I've spent Duron, the pranks, school, fights, dancing, walks, holidays, shit even arguments, Dj had his arm around me looking out the window with my head on his shoulder, I was wearing weheartit.com/entry/152114491 dragging my suit case with and a black bag over my shoulder, of how out of it I was Dj had to walk me around, Dj was leading me to a couple, I finally came back to reality a little bit, a lady in all pink, also known as aunt Jackie came and gave us a hug
"so glad to have you here" she tells us as her husband takes my suit case
"now your here, you'll learn to wear A Hawks Jersey" Uncle Nate says trying to make a joke but if you couldn't tell we aren't for a laughing mood,
"honey nobody watches the Hawks, that's your uncles way of saying welcome to Georgia" she tells us, I nod my head at her and zone out again, I how different it's going to be without Duron? am I ever going to dance again? How are the people here? Dj change on me? Will I ever be back home to mama? I feel so empty without Duron, he knew everything about me without me telling him, we did together. When we got to the house, aunt Jackie was telling us about starting school, me and Duron always wanted to start college together, I remember what is plan was when he goes to college, he wants to get a whole bunch of girls and flirt with them to do his work, I smile a little but then it quickly turns into a frown, her isn't going to be there with me, I feel a familiar lump in my throat and my eyes start to water, Dj noticed this and bright me into his arms as Jackie showed us to our rooms, mine was across from DJ's weheartit.com/entry/143259789 (ignore the girl, and the pictures are of her, Dj, Duron and get mom and some of her crew, but she still put then up later) me and Dj have to share a bathroom which I really don't mind
"Dj, Diamond I didn't get to the chance to tell you at the funeral, you know we loved him and I know how close you three were" she says
"well duh, his our brother" I mumble but nobody me thank god
"well I gotta go, when I come back I'll make us some dinner, Kay" she says with pity smile, but I look up I know Dj smiled back, when she leaves I quickly wrap my arms around D in a hug and cry
"I don't want to go to college without D" I say
"don't worry, we aren't I got a plan" he sets turning me back, then I went and put pictures up in my room of me, Dustin, Dj, mama and some with the crew and some of just the ocean, 2pac and other things I like. During dinner I only took one bite from my food, the rest I was just playing with it
"you can have some apple pie, I know it's your guys favorite" Jackie says
"no thanks" me and Dj say but I whisper it but I think she heard it because she sent me a small smile
"I called in a favor to get you two into this school, so don't make me look bad" Nate says
"were listening" Dj says
"good, the rules are really simple, 3 things you have to deal with 1) keep your grade up at all times 2) I'm in charge of the work study program, and you won't be treated any differently, you behave differently with 26 employees" he says the second part to Dj
"third?" I ask
" oh strike 3 your out.... Period" he says then after helping aunt Jackie pick up the dishes and clean then I went to sleep
