I don't deserve you, Koyuki. || Koyuki x Hakuji / Akaza

The Beginning

Author's note:

Please keep in mind that my writing is not very pleasing. And the main ship here is Koyuki x Hakuji/Akaza. Also, the story isn't like how they promised to marry each other like in the manga. Enjoy!

"Hakuji-san, can we watch the fireworks when I recover?"
Said a woman who had a gorgeous pink kimono, staring at a man who she supposedly cares for.

"Of course, my love."
The man answered.

Later on, something flashes in front of the dreamer's eyes. The dreamer had seen a flash of the woman with a pink kimono, laying dead, along with the man crying whilst carrying her.

The man wakes up from a bittersweet dream.

"The hell was that?"
"It's like it's been reminding me of the past. Geez, is this supposed to make me feel like a monster? It already had before, but why do it again?"
The man thought.

Hakuji had been reincarnated, he was given the same name as his mother had a strange feeling, a strange sensation making her want to name him Hakuji. His mother teared up a bit while naming him.
Hakuji is 20, he had been having these dreams ever since he was a baby. He knew how everything worked so young, all because of his "stupid" past.

Hakuji woke up crying again, it was never a surprise for him to cry after dreaming of something related to what he dreamt of earlier. Ever since he was 13, he wanted to go and find that woman in his dreams. But his mother never let him, because he was still 13. His mother told him that he's allowed to do so when he turns 20. He turned 20 years old months ago, and now he has his own house and job. He tries to find the woman in his dreams at his free time.

"I don't know who you are, but I promise to come find you. I don't know who you are, but I don't think I deserve a kind, sweet, woman like you. Even though I only knew much about you in my dreams. I wonder, what if you had been reincarnated as well? What if... What if you dream of the same as well? Do you remember the memories?"
Hakuji thought to himself as his co-workers looked at him weirdly. He has a co-worker named Gyutaro, Gyutaro said that he only works so that he can take care of his little sister, Ume.

"Dude you alright? You're spacing out again." Gyutaro asks, Gyutaro was one of the closest friends he had, him and Ume always helped Hakuji find the woman on their free time. "Oh- yeah, my bad." Hakuji answers, as Gyutaro shrugs it off and goes back to working, Hakuji does the same but his head begins to hurt. He shrugs it off as he thought it may be the memories kicking in again. Gyutaro and Ume only helps him because they got their names the same way Hakuji got his too, and also the fact that the cafe owners or restaurant owners Mitsuri and Iguro were married because of remembering their so-called "past life".

One day, Hakuji invites both Gyutaro and Ume to his house to discuss about this reincarnation thing.

Gyutaro dresses up as Ume waits for her brother, she hums as Gyutaro is finished getting ready and they walk to Hakuji's house which isn't that far away, but also not that near. Ume acts mostly like a child because of always being protected by her brother, but Ume had started becoming more mature the past few months when Gyutaro taught her about some stuff. They arrive at his house as Ume rings the doorbell, "Haku-san! Me and my precious amazing brother, Gyutaro are here~!" Ume yells in a childish voice. "Hold on, I'm coming! Just a few seconds and I'll be there" Hakuji responds. They wait as it hasn't even been 30 seconds and Ume is becoming impatient. Hakuji opens the door and politely greets them.

"Come in, have a seat." Hakuji offers as they sit in the couch. "Any news about the woman?" Ume asks to Hakuji, Hakuji looks down a he shakes his head, implying he is saying no. "Awh man!" Ume complains. "But, the past has been becoming much more clearer to me though. I don't call her "woman" anymore, I think her name was... Kyokuyi? No no, Koyuki!" Hakuji recalls her name. Gyutaro's eyes widen, "I think I know her! I knew someone named Koyuki when I was in high school. She also told me something similar to your dreams!" Gyutaro recalls as Ume is sitting there confused.

"REALLY?!?! THEN ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS... Do the same and try to find her..." Hakuji sighs, Gyutaro pats his back and says; "don't worry man! I think I remember her house... Hold on give me some time to recall her house location!". Hakuji smiles at them and whispers something. "Thank you guys, for being so amazing and helping me figure out who she is." Hakuji whispers. "Onii-chan! Pat my back too!!! WAAAAAAAAH!!" Ume complains as Gyutaro smiles and pats her back. Hakuji face palms and laughs at Gyutaro. Time passes and Gyutaro recalls her house location, Gyutaro writes the location on paper and gives it to Hakuji. "Thanks for helping me, you guys. You guys are the best! I promise, I'll pay for your food next time, haha!" Hakuji giggles as Ume gets excited, "oh don't worry man you don't have to pay us back." Gyutaro answers as Ume's excitement was gone. "Onii-chan~! This is a one-time opportunity! Just pleaseee make him pay us back!!" Ume requests as Gyutaro sighs. "It's fine Gyutaro! After all, you guys deserve it" Hakuji replies, "see! Even he agrees!" Ume tries her best to convince him and eventually Gyutaro agreed.

The next day.

The three of them meet up in a pizza restaurant and the three of them order, Hakuji pays for them and Ume starts eating the pizza immediately as Gyutaro is just sitting at the chair shocked at what his sister was doing as Hakuji laughs at her.
They plan on going to her house later on, for Hakuji.

It is the end of the first part.
