Zayne was feeling so excited. This was his first day at a brand new school in a neighborhood. You see, Zayne didn't always live in San Francisco in California. In fact, he used to live in Nebraska until his parents decided to move. The new school that he went to wasn't any ordinary school. It had things that you wouldn't typically find in a normal high school.

It had flying floor tiles for the students, a gummy bear factor, Einstein's law of relativity room and even a rollercoster for the physics classroom. Sometimes Zayne just liked to look at the school in awe. The only thing he could think was, how can a place this amazing cause so much trouble? Little did he know of the shenanigans that he was about to get into.

Zayne grabbed a copy of his schedule on his way to his first class. He was looking for room 1A. The room was located on the first floor, so he took the stairs to get there. When he entered the first floor, the place didn't look quite right. First of all, it had broken walls and cracked tiles. Also, it was almost impossible to walk across the floor without tripping on a few cracks.

"What happened here?," Zayne thought as he looked at the mess

Zayne had to think of another way to get to class, but how? He was about to come up with a plan when suddenly...

"Zayne! Omg, it's Zayne!" A blonde girl ran screaming towards Zayne and fell on top of Zayne, so now they were literally face to face

"Zayne Did you miss me? Where did you go?!"

"Yes, Cassidy, I mis-sed you now get.. off.. me please." Zayne said struggling to get the words out

Cassidy got up to her feet and then helped Zayne get up.

"It's amazing how I found you, right? This school is so big! It's amazing, right?"

"Cassidy, what are you doing here?" Zayne asked as he wasn't expecting to see her

"Well, I missed you so much that I decided to transfer here. While I was at it, I got the rest of our group including Blade to transfer here too, and so here we are! Isn't that great?"

Zayne couldn't believe this. Because of their history, Zayne and Blade didn't get along. For this reason, Zayne decided to tell Cassidy how he felt. Zayne opened his mouth to speak but the intercom came on before Zayne could say anything.

"Dear students, it has come to our attention that the first floor will be closed due to some destruction," The principle said over the intercom

"So, instead of taking the stairs, I would like for all of the students to come in the middle of the building. You will be asked to climb through the vent on the ceiling..

"I'm sorry, what? Did I hear that right?" Zayne thought

"..and then take the slide at the other end of the vent. Thank you and have a good day."  The principle finished

If there was one thing you needed to know about Cassidy, it's that she's not the best at climbing into high places. She's was also fairly scared of heights.

A group of students were walking everywhere in the hallway. Many of them were coming from all sorts of places. Zayne and Cassidy noticed that the students gathered in the middle of the hallway. A teacher came and brought a very long ladder. The ladder was surprisingly able to reach the vent in the ceiling all the way from the floor. Cassidy looked anxiously at the vent in the high ceiling.

"We're not really going there, are we?" She asked Zayne in a worried tone

Zayne looked around and thought quickly. Conveniently, there was a vent right beside them.

"No. We're going here!" Then Zayne ripped the door from the vent

"Zayne, what are you doing?" Cassidy asked

"What does it look like I'm doing. We're gonna crawl through this vent."

"But Zayne, are you sure this is safe?"

Truth be told, it was unclear whether the vents in the school could carry a few pounds, much less two humans. Cassidy kept questioning Zayne until he said the one thing that would make her get in.

"Trust me." And with that, he crawled into the vent

"Well, okay but if something happens, I won't say I told you so." Cassidy said crawling inside as well.
