The Contract

chapter 14 - like or love?

Montana's POV

"He must be here somewhere!" I hear yelling suddenly while sleeping in Zeus's arms. I shift as I look at the clock and see it's four in the afternoon now.

"Ma'am he's busy," the guard says as she screeches. "He is never too busy for me! I'm his sister!" she yells back.

We missed dinner with his sister. Fuck. He rescheduled the dinner at least twice already and she's probably super mad now. I don't blame her, it's her brother doing this.

"ZEUS PAUL MONTGOMERY!" She yells as the bedroom door opens and I sit up in the sheets holding them over my naked body and messy hair to see her standing there holding a child in her arms.

"Hi," I whisper as she sighs and covers her child's eyes. "Last night I got a little drunk," I whisper as Zeus shifts and sits up. "Hell," he sighs as he shifts his hand off of me and looks in her arms at the little boy.

"Louis! You miss uncle, Zeus?" Zeus asks making Louis, which I've learned is her son, giggle. She sits him down as he crawls over the floor and Zeus slips out of bed to get him. Zeus slipped on boxers and shorts after our festivities so he's covered. He throws him into the air making him giggle as they both smile.

"I'm going to go shower" I mumble out to them as I grab the sheet covering my body and Athena follows me to the bathroom. I'm shocked when she walks in and closes the door.

"I have a vagina too, trust me it doesn't bother me since you'll be my sister soon. Tell me what's going on Montana. Zeus hasn't talked to me all week. I've been worried and I know he won't tell me." she tells me as I sigh.

"We've been going through some things. I went and got drunk because of it," I mumble out grabbing "my" toothbrush. The single one not used that's sitting there. Just in case she ever came. I start brushing my teeth as she sighs and grips her arms.

"Are you sure that was the best idea?" she asks as I sigh and shake my head no. It wasn't the best idea, it was stupid.

"It wasn't. We talked through it so maybe it's better now." I tell her as she sighs. "Do you love him?" she asks as I start taking off my makeup.

"No, not yet, I really care about him but I don't know if I can love him when he doesn't open up to me about much of anything," I tell her as she nods.

"I know but he's changing so much with you Montana. He's been so much better with you, it's like he's becoming the old him. Before my father died, he was different. Cold yes, but it wasn't as bad as he's been. I really think you're good for him." she tells me as I sigh. I feel so bad.

"I don't. He really messes with me emotionally." I mumble in Zeus's bathroom cleaning my face off.

"With everyone. Just call me when you need help or someone to talk to about it. Make sure you put on a nice outfit. I'm making you come to dinner at my house with Louis and me, along with Zeus and my husband." she tells me as I nod.

"My clothes are upstairs, I might just shower up there," I mumble as she stares at me confused. "You and Zeus don't sleep in the same room?" she asks confused.

"Oh, yeah. It's just when I moved in his closet was full so I took the one upstairs. I have lots of clothes." I tell her as she nods.

"Oh totally understand." she smiles walking out as I follow her. I leave the room and hear Zeus and Louis in the living room that's now clean, and I point upstairs to the shower as he nods.

I take the sheet off when I get to the shower and scrub my entire body. I don't have time to wash my hair, so I opt for leaving it alone. Once I'm finished I wrap in a towel before going to the closet. I slip on jeans like Athena is wearing and a nice top. I do my makeup in record time, along with curling my hair again. When I slip on a nice necklace, I make my way downstairs to see Zeus has changed into clean clothes with shoes on.
