Alice ran across the woods holding her baby, Flora. She was trying to escape the many guards running after her. It was dark and the moon barely lit the forest, but her white hair was still visible. Alice ran as quickly as she could as she heard the sound of the guards getting louder. Alice looked around and decided to give up. She saw a nearby cottage that lay in the heart of the woods. She placed her daughter in front of the house. Alice also left her magical flower crown next to her. Then she continued running to guide the guards away from Flora. The guards eventually caught up to her.

All the people of the forest learned of Alice's murder. Since then, no one of them dared to step out of their little wooden huts. They locked themselves in hoping on day King Malik would lose his throne.

Flora was taken in by a mute lady who raised her in her cottage.

Many, many years later... in the beautiful forest...

Flora woke up on another spring morning. The wind was breezy and quietly entered through the window and woke her up. She looked at her grandma: she was still sleeping. Flora stood up calmly and walked around the room trying not to wake up her grandma, Nina. She wasn't really her grandma: Nina found Flora as a baby in front of her tiny cottage and decided to raise her. And since then, Nina and Flora had been living together in a tiny cottage, in the woods, next to a river.

The cottage had big window above the kitchen bar. As Flora would be organizing and cleaning the room, she would look at the massive castle on top of the distant mountain. The massive mountain elevated above the trees and held the castle of the kingdom. She dreamed of living in such a big castle, but she also dreamed of meeting new people: that was Flora's biggest wish. Nina always told her to stay in the cottage with her. Nina always warned her to avoid roaming around in the forest and to stay far from the castle especially. She told her that there are people that would want to hurt her, but Flora never understood why anyone would want to harm her. She understood that she was an albino, but that was not a reason for anyone to hurt her. It was a simple genetic matter that could not affect anyone. It barely affected her life. Nina told her that people will not understand that, especially the people of the castle. She told her that people would be afraid of her and might want to harm her. Flora was really annoyed of herself and her hair: because of her hair, she could not live a happy life.

Flora stopped her chores to gaze at the castle from her window. Then Nina rang her bell to alert Flora. Nina was a mute: she could not speak. She communicated with Flora through sign language. Flora could speak and normally. Nina rang her bell to alert Flora and stop her gazing at the castle. Flora nagged and complained from her heart: she understands the situation, but Nina can't blame her if she dreams that there's someone in that castle who might actually love her.

Then, Flora's forest friends appeared at her window. Flora was best friends with a lovable deer called Hazel, a funny squirrel called Chuck, and a sassy and snobbish blue bird called Pitch. Pitch did not know how to fly, so she settled most of the times on Hazel's antlers with Chuck. Flora walked over to the window and greeted her friends. "How are you doing, Flora?" said Pitch. Flora looked around and smiled at her friends, "I'm great." Chuck screamed his heart out to say hi to Nina. "Chuck," said Pitch, "It's not that she can't hear you, she just can't talk" Pitch had this sassy and annoyed attitude towards idiotic Chuck. "Oh, NEVERMIND!" yelled Chuck again.

Flora then asked Pitch what she did that day as she fed Hazel an apple. Pitch admitted that she tried to fly. "How was it?" asked Flora in an encouraging tone. Chuck yelled out laughing, "She fell on her face!" Flora silenced Chuck in an angry manner. She told Pitch that it was okay if she can't fly, "You're amazing and I love you," said Flora heartwarmingly.
