lost boys [dreamnotfound]

chapter one

"hey new recruits are coming tomorrow, you excited" a brunette says as he walks down a long dark hall with another boy

the boy smiles but doesn't say anything. they walk to the end of the hall to a large room, holding many bunk beds

"hey tommy" a boy shouts from a bed as tommy and a brunette boy walk into the room

"hi sapnap" tommy smiles, "tubbo and i were just walking down the halls, pretty quiet today" he says as he sits on a bed beside toby

sapnap nods, "we arent doing anything until the recruits get here"

"so you think they'll pick our team?" tubbo says looking around the room at the old hard beds that they all slept on. most of them were used to it so it didnt bother them

"i doubt it" a blonde says coming out from the bathroom

"so negative punz" sapnap rolls his eyes

tommy laughs along with tubbo and sapnap

"i mean im not lying, i would so rather go be, "peaceful" " punz smirks

"ill call a bus for you princess" a boy says as he walks into the room

"hey sexy" sapnap smirks at the blonde

the boy rolls his eyes, "come walk with me" he says walking out of the room

"hah im dreams princess!" punz smirks at sapnap

"fuck off" sapnap says as he grabs his jacket and follows dream down the hall

punz and sapnap have always fought for dream. for his love, to be specific. as a joke of course 

tommy and tubbo just look at eachother and laugh as they follow the group

"alright" dream says, "sapnap and tommy i'd like you two to attend the pickings tomorrow, rest of you stay here with me."

"aw what about me?" a strawberry blonde says as he joins the group walking down the hall

"techno if im not going your not" dream smiles

dream and techno got kicked out of the last recruits meeting. for starting a fight with the other factions.

"anyways as i was saying.." dream says as they reach the lobby.

their place wasnt alot. again there was nothing left on earth after the war broke out, most factions had nothing. clays faction, "fearless" lived in an abandon train station out of town, away from the other four factions. the fearless didnt get along with the other ones.

"..the ones who choose to come will get on the train and you'll do the normal procedure. the ones who survive than will come down to the rest of us and you know the rest" dream smiles leaning over the railing looking over the lobby

"clay i worry about you sometimes" sapnap says watching the boy barely hold onto the railing

the rest of the boys took the hint of a deep conversation coming so they all walked back to get some food. sapnap and the other boys don't call each other by their real names. they use code names so no one can look up their past. 

"why" dream hums completely ignoring the name

sapnap sighs "your just..i dont know, reckless lately"

dream laughs, "its apart of my job, and plus, being a little reckless wont hurt" he says walking past sapnap, "you should try it sometime" he yells back as he keeps walking

sapnap rolls his eyes as he sees the other group of boys below him, they shrug.

all the boys knew each other pretty well. especially sapnap and dream. their parents had died well before the war. they were basically on their own hopping from different friend's houses, techno being one of them. when the war hit it drifted the three apart. they didn't see each other for months after it. dream found the faction holders, and quickly became one if not the first people in his faction, quickly becoming the leader of it. he went out searching for sapnap and techno and eventually found them. and they were together again. a couple months later tommy and tubbo showed up together, they were a work in progress but eventually joined dreams faction. punz being the newest addition, being added a year after tommy and tubbo. the team was small, but they made it work.

"i know im new and all.." punz starts but gets cut off

"punz your not new, your family alright? and i know your uh, wondering about dream?"

punz nods

techno sighs, "hes just had a stressful life. well first off, his name is clay. i wouldn't call him that tho. but his parents died a couple years before the war. they were working in the government on something, and out of the blue, they didnt make it home the next day. hes lost some of his closets friends due to the war. he uh also has problems with anxiety, so he takes pills. sometimes he takes too many..so please if you see him doing that calm him down alright? talk about the sky, sunsets, the beach, anything like that. he loves scenery."

punz nods, "thank you for telling me. and uh, i'm luke. i guess ive been her for a year and havent told you my actual name" he laughs

techno smiles, "i know who you are. we do a little background on everyone."

punz laughs, "nice"

dream went up to his room. he slept in a different part of the station, his room was a bit better than the others, but they didnt mind.

he looked in the mirror and sighed. his blonde hair was almost covering his eyes as he took his beanie off, his black long jacket almost fit perfectly on him, was just a little big. his black cargo pants just were long enough for him to put his boots over them. but he always found a way to change it up a little. he had large bags under his eyes from his sleepless nights watching the stars. but no one noticed because his green eyes were the things people looked at most.

he took his jacket off and kicked off his boots. he changed into a warm long sleeve shirt, and some sweatpants. he went to the bathroom to grab his medicine. he took one and took a sip of his sink water. he looked at the pill bottle again, he shook his head and put it away, closing the bathroom door.

"anyone else getting sick of pizza?" tommy says throwing his plate away

punz shrugs, "could be worse"

sapnap laughs, "we can get stuff tomorrow"

"i really want to go" techno frowns

"you can wait on top of the station, just dont tell dream" sapnap smirks

"that guy has eyes everywhere" techno laughs as he and the boys walk back to their beds, "he'd probably kill me"

"hey do you know what faction your choosing yet?" a brunette asks

another boy shakes his head, "we can worry about it tomorrow" the boy says turning over

"alright..goodnight george" the boy sighs as he turns off their lamp

"goodnight karl"
