Chapter 20

Lauryn's P.O.V.

I smiled as I stepped out of the car.

"C'mon! There is a little carnival going on I wanna go there!" He said overly excited. I laughed and walked over to him. As we were walking along the boardwalk a group of girls noticed Harry and came running at us screaming. He grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him.

"OH MY GOSH! HARRY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" Girl #1 screamed. She had medium length straight brown hair. Her skin was glowing and she had dark brown eyes.

"Thanks!" Harry mumbled.

"Where are the other guys?" Girl #2 asked. She had shoulder length wavy black hair. Her smile was beautiful. She had hazel eyes.

"Somewhere else." He replied.

"Can I take a picture with you?" Girl #3 asked. She had long wavy blonde hair like Sam's, but Sam's hair was a lighter blonde. Almost as if it was bleached. She had suprisingly light brown eyes. They all were so pretty.

"Sure." He saidd and took a picture with him.

"Um... who is she?" Girl #1 asked with a nasty tone and looking at me. I looked down at my shoes feeling so insecure at the moment.

"This is my girlfriend Lauryn." He said coming over to me and putting his arm around me.

"Girlfriend?" Girl #3 asked with attitude.

"Yep! And if you got a problem you can walk away and leave us alone." Harry sneered at all their egos. He had a fake smile on his face as they scoffed at me and walked away.

"Thanks!" I sad hugging his side.

"I will not let anyone treat you like that! No one!" He said hugging me back. I felt tears coming to my eyes, but I fought the feeling and let go of him. "Shall we continue?" He asked in a preppy tone. I nodded and we continued toward the fair. We were holding hands as he intertwined his large digits with my small, slender ones. I smiled and looked down at our hands. I brought it up to my lips and kissed it. He looked down at me and smiled a real smile.

We reached the fair and I ran straight to the cotton candy cart.

"Yummy!" I squealed and I paid for some and took a bite. "Do you want some?" I asked Harry. He nodded his head and I placed the pink fluff in his mouth. He smiled and opened his mouth for more. I sighed and gave him some more. "No more its mine!" I yelled hugging the bag to my chest. We decided to stop by a little concession stand that had some hats. Harry bought one and put it on trying to cover some of his curls. Then he placed his sunglasses on.

"Hopefully no one notices me!" He whispered. I nodded my head unable to respond because of the cotton candy that was in my mouth. We rode some rides and had a blast! We were about to leave when I saw the cutest thing in the world. A giant teddy bear!!! I ran over to where it was at, but my heart dropped when I saw it was one of those games where you had to hit this thing on the ground with a hammer and get this piece of metal all the way to the top of the vertical wall in front of it. I guess Harry saw how I really wanted to teddy bear because when I started to walk back over to him he handed me his jacket and said,

"Allow me." He walked over to the game and handed the carny some money. He handed Harry the hammer and told him he had 3 tries. He took his first swing and I closed my eyes not wanting to see him miss. Instead I heard a DING DING DING! I opened my eyes in disbelief and ran over to him.

"Congrats sir! You can choose any prize you want." The carny said as he stretched his arm around his entire prize area. Harry immediately points to the teddy bear I wanted. The carny grabs it and hands it to Harry. "There you are. You two have a good day." The carny said.
