I stared into the forest that seemed as if it was limitless, clear, and diverse. Its canopy was reigned by cypress, hawthorn, and spruce, who provided just enough openings for light to pass down for a diversity of plants to rule the sloping and slanting ground below. Swooping vines dangled from a couple of trees, and a range of flowers, which were scattered sporadically, added colorful variety to the otherwise green backdrop. A mishmash of beastly sounds, which were caused by foraging animals, echoed in the air, and were accompanied by the sounds of a fight over dominance between larger animals.
I stared through the opening of my window pane, the gentle sky rolling onward and behind the trees only shielding the the sun for moments at a time. It was so peaceful, so calm and nurturing but the fire blazed inside my mind every time.
"Celina? You alright?" A gentle voice spoke from behind me, while I stared out into the back yard with a longing glance before turning towards my best friend Savina.
Her personality was indescribable There's more than meets the eye in the case of Savina Rose, but at the very least she's enthusiastic and playful. Of course she's also charismatic, elegant and individualistic, but far less strongly and often mixed with being disruptive as well.
Her enthusiasm though, this is what she's often admired for. People regularly count on this and her helping hand when they're in need of support.
Nobody's perfect of course and Savina has plenty of lesser desired aspects too. Her destructive nature and provocative nature can cause things to heat up on often personal levels.
Fortunately her playfulness helps keep them in check for at least a little. Her face and structure is what caught most of the attention, black, perfectly groomed hair slightly covers a fine, charming face. Shinning sapphire eyes, set wickedly within their sockets, watching carefully over the pack she's grieved with for so long.
A true guardian at times, she stands small among others despite her thin frame, there was always something intriguing about her, perhaps her decency or perhaps it's simply a feeling of anguish. But nonetheless, people tend to hit it off with her, while learning as much about her as possible.
I couldn't ask for a better friend in my life other than Basil.
Realizing I had spaced out, I looked up with a dim smile in the lightly lit room, while slowly nodding my head.
"I am okay Ina, just blanking on a few things. My mind constantly seems to wonder elsewhere..... Anyway, what's up?" I leaned back into the chair, dropping the pencil onto the desk and waiting for her to speak patiently.
"Well, there is a Mating event happening soon. Will you come?" She visibly gulped, as my face had begun to turn an pinkish red.
"INA! We talked about this, I am not going. The last few years never worked out anyways...." I spoke lowly as waves of throbbing, nauseating pain pulsed within my chest and it felt like my breakfast would return to me in an instant.
Surely this pain would stop soon. Surely there's an end to this. I wasn't so sure and ready to give up because of it. I gently rubbed the aching injury and, with eyes staring at my clammy hands, tried to figure out a way to relief myself of this pain.
