Levi listened closely to the shuffling at the front door, hearing the door slam shut and then silence.
He pushed himself closer to the box he was leant against, the contents clattering against each other.
"Those damn rats are back again!!" A unknown voice groaned from downstairs. Levi pushed both hands over his mouth trying not to make any noises hearing the stranger coming up the stairs. the footsteps stopped, Levi quickly leant over and yanked on the handle of the door closing it shut, he felt soft tugs at the other end of the small door but felt them stop after several failed attempts.
More footsteps where heard and then finally a door shutting, He stepped up as quietly as he could and tiptoed to the small round window further away from the box he was leant on, he pressed his hand against the dusty window wiping away some of the muck, he gazed out the window looking at the few people that dared to come out after the Caption killer stuff that was all over the news. He shook his head smirking at them, he exhaled sharply fogging up the window.
his hand that was pressed against the window was now at the side of his face rubbing his right temple leaving a grey mark from the dust he wiped away moments before, his head twitched as he giggled to himself, his fist balled up at the side of his head, his fingernails digging into his palm making them bleed, he stood there for a moment letting his fist drop, letting his face relax, he whipped his head back feeling his dark grey hair fall past his ears staring up at the ceiling covered in cobwebs thinking. He stepped back grinding his teeth twisting around on his heel pacing back to the small door listening out for anybody, he grasped the handle of the door pushing down watching his arm fall down with the door.
Levi stuck his head through the door of the attic floor to check for anybody nearby, seeing nobody he removed his shoes and slipped his small figure down through the door and he hung by his arms that where grasping onto the thick doorframe. checking the height between his feet and the floor. he dropped after estimating the thump.
Only a tap was heard, Levi was surprised to even hear anything as he barely weighed anything. Looking around hearing shaky breathing, he turned around immediately his eyes widening as he saw a boy, about his age, clutching onto a doorframe visibly shaking reaching into his jean pocket fumbling around.
