Princess FOB
Rear
Minerva and Aiisha

Hmmm, are those wyverns?! Minerva exclaimed looking back.

One of the watchtowers was destroyed but one of the wyverns was brought down as well.

"We cannot worry about that right now our job is to protect the rear" Aiisha

"You're right, let's send these bastards packing!"

When the gates open Minerva tells them to cease fire and fall back. They were almost out of ammo anyway. The best option was to draw the enemy out across the bridge and then engage them once they had crossed.

Once they finally cross Minerva and Aiisha rush them. Minerva throws a grenade at an approaching group of enemies sending bodies and limbs flying. Then she proceeds to engage them in close quarters using her shotgun as both melee weapon and gun. Aiisha takes up a quickdraw stance.

Then in a single motion cuts through the air. Pressure from the blade cuts through several soldiers at the waist. Then she proceeds to cut down all that stood in her way. Explosions and screams go off nearby as she cuts her way through her enemies.

Borus watched as his men are blown apart by explosions and filled full of holes by whatever weapon that red-headed girl was holding. They along with several of the princess's soldiers. Though they held the numerical advantage the power and skill of the two young girls were killing his men by the many. The beastman had speed and some power in here swordplay. But beastmen were said to be natural-born warriors with superior speed and speed to humans even though magic is rare among their race. On top of that, she moved with almost perfect precision. With barely and wasted motion. Any gap in her defenses was covered by a grey metal object that seemed to operate the same way as the objects the defenders of the rear gate used. Then there was the redhead was the opposite. She seemed to be a bit more brutal in her methods. Though human his men were struggling. Groups that tried to surround her were blown up by some round object. This forced them to spread out becoming easier targets for her and her allies. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him, he but swore he saw a smile on her face. Even more troubling was the fact that during this the enemy had taken out the wyverns. However, one of the towers was destroyed.

"How can this be?" He thought to himself.

It should be almost impossible to take out wyverns without anti-wyvern weapons and that in itself took even more skill. He continues to observe the melee in front of him. His men while most did have combat experience it seemed that it mattered little in the face of those strange magic tools. They were able to shoot some invisible projectile at a great distance. They were like archers but without a need for a bow or arrows. He grits his teeth as he remembered what he was told about the princess having monsters.

"So these were the monsters they spoke of," he thought.

Indeed these girls had monstrous power but they were still mortal. To be honest he felt fear. It wasn't the girls that he feared but their weapons. If he were to say what the true monster here was it would be the weapons they wielded. He snaps the reins of his horse gripping them tightly charging forth into battle. There was no room for retreat. He promised the prince that he would bring the princess to him.

Rees watched as the wyverns engaged the enemy. His heart jumped for joy when one of them managed to destroy one tower but is shot down by the second. But it's a short-lived victory as the second wyvern is soon brought down over the enemy camp as the enemy pours through the gates and engaged his army in melee combat. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. It took tremendous effort to take down wyverns. To think they took them down with little effort. The princess truly had formidable allies. The battle rages on as he observes the battlefield. The princess's allies were raging on the battlefield. His men, already demoralized from the heavy losses, were being pushed back. Minutes pass and the deaths continue to pile up. Adding to that the watchtower opened fire on however came too close or were not in the line of fire. What seemed like ages but was minutes Rees hears the sound of hooves coming from behind him.
