Setting out on our journey in the world only to find out our fight is not over
This is how we begin, we act and speak out about our beliefs, trying to keep our composure
The things we wish for are simple
We want to be able to walk alone at night without the fear of being attacked
Wearing whatever we want without being blamed for being catcalled or raped and be accused that we overreact
How would it feel to go out dressed confidently and not be bothered by random strangers on the street
How would it feel to walk past a group of men without feeling uneasy, trying to get away and make yourself discreet
To not be overlooked and paid equally for doing the same job.
Being single and loving it,
Never having to use the excuse you have a boyfriend instead of saying no because you're scared.
To have the respect of others without demanding itPlease vote and comment!
