Clarice

"Omg!" I scream kicking my feet in excitement.
The email read:
Hello Ms. Adaline, we are over-joyed you tried out today and we want YOU to play Clarice and as for Clarice's solo in act 4 we want YOU to choreograph! All the other dances are already choreographed but that one solo is your moment and we want you to shine! Rehearsals start next week on Thursday!

I was over the moon I couldn't wait to tell Carter! But then I looked at the email again, a solo on my mind and THURSDAY?! THATS THE DAY OF CARTERS FOOTBALL GAME!!! Oh no! What am I going to do????? If I don't go to this game, Carter will be crushed, it's his first game with his first and only girlfriend! But then this could mean my entire career! I have to talk to Carter!

The next day I was prepared to tell Carter.
"Baby?" I started
"Yeah"
"I got the email about Clarice.."
"Oh really! What did it say?!" He sounded so excited, but I was just about to crush it..I felt terrible.
"I got the part, and they want me to choreograph a solo"
"BABY! That's amazing!! When does it start?"
"Thursday"
"Oh, uh baby, you know that's my football game right?" His smile turned to a pout
"Yeah, but rehearsals are 2-6 and your game is at 7 so I can make it!"
"Okay, but don't be late!"
"I won't"
He gave me a kiss and walked away, and on Thursday is rehearsals and I was so excited.

It was Thursday, I never knew time could fly so fast but it can! I was getting prepared for my solo presentation I'm doing today, all this week I was perfecting it and now I'm finally ready! My hair was in a bun and I wore my black leotard with all my dance shoes and my tights that had no cover up for the foot. My makeup was done regularly and I was on my way.

Once I got there the woman introduced herself.
"Hello Dancers, I am Ms. Levante. You can call me just Miss, but either is fine. Today first, Adaline will show the solo she prepared and we will all give pointers."
I got up and walked over, I started my dance, it was to the song, "it is what it is" and I think it's the best song to fit in here. I start off with a jump turn and just dance my way around. I know what I'm doing but I'm not watching what I'm doing, I'm watching the girl in the mirror, the girl dancing her heart out for this part and when I'm done everyone clapped and cheered and loved it! Ms. Levante even said it was better than my audition and I should keep it how it is!

The rest of the day was just the first part of the first act. It was a long day but I'm happy that it's over, finally I can see my Carter!
I rush to the field I'm dressed normally now but my hair is still in the perfect bun it was when I left. I cheer for Carter and his team won! He called me his good luck charm and I agree.

At night when we were about to sleep he turned to me.
"How was your day?" He asked me
"It was amazing! My solo went perfect and we worked on part 1 of the 1st act"
"Wow"
"Yeah!"
"I'm so proud of you!" He said happily.
"Thanks baby!" I gave him a kiss and we went to sleep.
