I nodded and asked Lumine to follow me

As soon as we reached the estate I could feel eyes on Lumine, I turned to look at her but she seems unbothered by it

Perhaps she's used to it?

I showed her to Lady Ayaka's office and they both got in

Lady Ayaka told me to leave them alone together and I obeyed later asking if I could take a walk

Lady Ayaka smiled at me and nodded while telling me to bring Thoma here if I bumped into him

I bowed at her and went out of the room to see Chiyo struggling to carry the tea set

I went up to her and asked "Chiyo, who are you bringing this tea set for?"

"Oh, Lord Ayato asked me to brew tea for him" Chiyo grinned at me and started to walk again

"Oh wait" Chiyo stopped in her tracks

"Lord Ayato told me to bring this letter to you if I bump into you" Chiyo handed me a letter

I took the letter from her and walked to my room

I opened the letter and read the text written in Ayato's handwriting

Dear Y/n,

I sincerely apologize for leaving you alone in your bed just now.

I've decided to make Chiyo my personal assistant which means you don't need to serve me anymore

Continue serving my sister with absolute loyalty as you always does

Sincerely, Kamisato Ayato
Head of the Kamisato clan

After reading it, I didn't realize I had tears streaming down my face

Is this the end?

Is it because I brought Thoma up?

I needed a solid confirmation from him so I waited until the sun sets and went to his room

"Lord Ayato, it's me" I knocked on his bedroom door, no answer.

I knocked again, still no answer.

As I was about to knock the third time he opened his door and leaned his arm on the door frame

"Yes, Y/n?" he said

"Can we please talk?" I begged

"Is my letter not enough? I said what I said" he spoke in a cold tone

"Is it really the end, Ayato?" I asked

Ayato kept silent

"Ayato.. we have known each other for years. Are you really going to throw it all out? For that girl you picked up on the streets?" I said as tears stream down my face

also another short chapter, it was supposed to be long but I just want to keep yall over the edge

But Ill start writing chapter 11 immediately bc im just a teenager who does absolutely nothing but write fanfiction about a fictional man
