Characters:
Dean Winchester - Jensen Ackles
Sam Winchester - Jared Padalecki
Scarlett Morrows - Katie Cassidy
Castiel - Misha Collins
Bobby Singer - Jim Beavers
Ruby - Gen Padalecki- The year was 2007. I was working a case in Lincoln, Nebraska. This case was the seven deadly sins and was a bitch to get finished. After that case finished up we were grabbing a bite with Bobby and he suggested the boys take me with them, since they could use my help on some bigger cases and I wouldn't have to be doing my own thing alone anymore, and he could have some peace of mind about my safety.
Bobby took me in after my father died on a hunt. My dad actually knew John, too. But died before they ever got the chance to work together. I knew of the boys and actually idolized some of the work they did. They would make me a better hunter that's for certain.
Dean hesitated about it, I could hear the three of them discussing the subject (which was me packing my shit up and moving with the boys all over God's green earth).
"Bobby, c'mon man, we have shit to figure out, have to save ourselves. Why drag this girl with us, she's just gonna slow down what we can find out before my year is up." I heard Dean speak.
"Now Dean, she hunts alone and has some tips and tricks even you could learn from." Bobby replied to him.
I silently rolled my eyes and tried to hold in a scoff while I gathered my things and set them by the front door. I made my way to the kitchen and walked between Bobby and Dean stopping to eye Dean, shooting him a smirk as I heard what Bobby had said.
"Your life would be saved a hell of a lot faster with me in it, Winchester." I popped the cap off of a beer I grabbed out of the fridge against the counter. I took a drink and hoisted myself onto the countertop. "We'd live out our dad's legacies together that way," I almost cackled at this sentence as my dad treated me like one of his war buddies on our hunting trips and near the end he and I loathed each other, and I knew Dean and Sam hadn't exactly ended things well with John before he clocked out.
Dean simply rolled his eyes and took the beer from my hands. "Backseat." He grumbled and I hopped down looking over to notice Sam giving Dean a look which seemed to say something along the lines of, "What do we have to lose, please just stop arguing."
I smiled at Sam and patted his arm on the way out to grab my things to head to the car. "Bye Bobby, love you," I hollered from the front door, and grinned knowing that if we could convince the most stubborn man on the planet to agree to this setup that we could get Dean to say yes to anything.
I settled myself in the backseat of Dean's beautiful sleek black car and crossed my legs, as I saw Bobby wave from the door and the two staggering men started towards me.
That ride was mostly silent. However, Sam and I had hit it off almost immediately. Dean, was a much different story. Took him almost four months to warm up to the idea of me being around.
Dean did go to the pits of hell. And by that time, I was so close with him too I felt like a part of both Sam and I were ripped away when he was there. Sam was a fucking wreck the first month or so that Dean was gone, but we adjusted. Took jobs where and when we could. I forced Sam to stay in touch with Bobby because he was dead set on just isolating himself when it all happened. I tried not to think about Dean being there because what was only a month for us was ten consecutive years of torture in hell. I didn't want to think about our strong Dean being tied up in the worst place on the planet being brutally tortured and hurt just because we couldn't find him a way out of his deal.
If it weren't for Cas, Dean would still be there. So here we are. No more hell, no more demon bullshit, no more sad parts. For now.
