ARCADIUS, the ruler of Hell was killed by Stefan Salvatore and Bonnie Bennett, then Katherine Pierce became the queen of Hell. She hid Elena Gilbert's body and wanted to destroy Mystic Falls by bringing Hell-Fire. Bonnie Bennett, being a powerful witch, with the help of her ancestors, reversed the fire through the tunnels where Stefan injected a syringe filled with his blood into his brother, Damon Salvatore, making him human, and then died while making sure Katherine is in Hell while her body was destroyed. Bonnie, waking Elena up from her deep sleep, decided to travel the world to keep the promise that she made to Enzo, her vampire boyfriend who was killed by Stefan in front of her eyes. Damon Salvatore, who was formerly a vampire, and his love, Elena Gilbert, got married and had a daughter after a few years and named her Stefanie Salvatore.

Freya Mikaelson, one of the most powerful witches, was married to Keelin, a Malraux werewolf. Vincent Griffith, a witch in French Quarters, New Orleans, helped them have children giving his DNA. Keelin had a son, Nikolas Mikaelson, and Freya gave birth to a dead baby girl. Rebekah Mikaelson, an Original Vampire and Freya's younger sister, who wanted to become human again by taking the cure from Damon after he completes his life span, was leading a happy life with her boyfriend Marcel Gerard who was an upgraded vampire specie.

Alaric Saltzman, the principal of Salvatore Boarding School, was taking care of the children who have special powers as the school was for supernatural beings. Caroline Forbes, a vampire, and the co-founder of that school went on to find a solution for not to perform merge their magically born twins as they were afraid one of those girls would die if the merge happened.
