"Since we still have some time left..." the teacher pauses as the students start cheering; hoping it will be about them having an early lunch time today.

"We will be having a short group activity," ignoring the immediate whines of disappointment and annoyance, their teacher still continues.

"So everyone listen up as I call your names, go to your partner immediately and cooperate with each other, alright? Let's make this quick."

"Why are a lot of people staring at me while whispering to each other? What gossip is it about this time?" Hakim glances around as he picks on his food with a plastic fork.

"Apparently they're making a big deal of you and Renjun being partners in class yesterday." He leans in a bit as he speaks up, so the person could still hear him.

Furrowing his eyebrows, he shakes his head as he huffs out. "People these days are ridiculous. That was just a small activity to pass time, what else was I supposed to do?"

"Yeah, you can't really be picky in this situation." Hakim says, agreeing with him.

"You would more or less be a hypocrite if you did that since you said we shouldn't be childish in the midst of this... Drama."

"Exactly, and why would I even complain in the first place? At least I have a partner; and that person who kinda knows what to do is just a bonus."

"I know right?" Hakim chuckles, "I seriously don't get these people. They have nothing better to do other than stick their noses into other people's business."

"Hey babe," before the blond haired boy could even turn to the newcomer, a soft pair of lips landed on his cheek, planting a short yet sweet kiss.

Smiling instantly, he scoots aside a bit to give space for his boyfriend to take a seat.

Setting his lunch tray on the table as he then starts peeling the orange, "what were you guys talking about?" He asks, biting back a smile of his own when an arm was draped over his shoulders.

Hakim sighs tiredly and continues to pick on his food, not really having the appetite to eat a lot today. "The usual." He replies.

Humming, the brunet boy doesn't say anything at first as he carefully picks a piece of orange and eats it, about to pick another one, he pauses when Hakim clears his throat.

"New gossips about your boyfriend today, actually." He rephrases.

Snapping his head to look at the blond haired boy, he raises a brow. "Really now?" Earning a brief nod from him, he clenches his jaw.

"What was it about?" Although he tries to maintain his lips smiling and his tone alight, the two other boys could sense the true feeling he's getting.

He is not happy. Who even would be anyway?

The blond haired boy winces a little at the sight he's witnessing, poor orange is not getting crushed between his boyfriend's supposedly gentle fingertips.
