Mitsuba and Kou have been friends since elementary. They were inseparable, they promised would even be with eachother till they die.

Unfortunately, not all promises can be intact forever.

Kou's family was moving to another country for a few years.

Mitsuba obviously wasn't allowed to come with them. They were both dumbfounded and heartbroken by the news.

For Mitsuba, this was a nightmare. He was devastated hearing the news. His only friend who accepted him for who he is. Stayed with him even if he had a cocky personality and what seems to be a girly appearance.

For Kou on the other hand, he feared that he would not meet his friend again. Worried he would forget about Mitsuba. He couldn't stay with his friend as his parents wouldn't allow him.

Neither were happy, they couldn't ignore it. It was unfortunate they both couldn't do anything about it.

They felt hopeless , they were dismayed.

Both met for the what they thought, last time, in their beloved park. To promise eachother something.

"We will meet again. I promise!"

"Really? Well, I promise to not forget about you. Keep that promise you idiot, okay?!"

They both had pretty bad photographic memory and can't remember names very much.

But they both had the same thought directed to each other;

"I'll miss you."
