Oliver had been gone for hours.

There were so many thoughts running through Addison's head. Eventually, he recalled Oliver's last trip out of the house, when he came back covered in bruises. He stood at the window peaking out of blinds like some stalker, but he couldn't help it.

He was worried.

Addison didn't exactly know what terms they were on. Should he call him and ask where he was? Or would that be weird?

He just wanted to get this talk over with and face the harsh rejection.

Even after what Gabe said, Addison was hell-bent on believing Oliver didn't like him in that way.

He just broke up with Cate he can't suddenly have feelings for me.

But I wouldn't hate it if he did.

The door creaked open and he grabbed his phone, pretending he wasn't gaping out the window.

"It's just me." Gabe sighed. "Stop being a creep."

"I'm not I'm just-"

"-Waiting for Oliver to get back? Yeah, I noticed."

Addison scoffed, "No. I was looking at the clouds because it was about to rain, and I like the rain.

That wasn't a lie.

"Yeah, okay." Addison eyed Gabe's outfit, he was wearing a big hoodie and some baggy jeans. "Where are you going?"

He shrugged, "I'm gonna walk to Autumn's house."

"You feeling okay?"

"Still kind of hungover."

" Stay safe and make sure you text me when you get there, all right?"

"Yeah okay. Good luck with Oliver, he just pulled into the driveway." Gabe gave him a quick wave and headed downstairs.

"What?!" Addison jumped off of the bed and rushed to the window.

A few moments later, Addison could hear the two brothers talking downstairs.

"Today is the day." Gabe sighed. "Stop being a pussy."

"I'm not being a pussy." Oliver protested. "Hey, where are you going?"

Addison heard the front door open, "To Autumn's."

The next thing he knew, Oliver was walking up the stairs.

Shit.

His steps sounded slower and louder than usual, it's like he was purposefully taking his time. Did he want to stress Addison out even more than he already was?
