Chase
Do you ever get the feeling something out of the ordinary will happen to you? That exact feeling was what I had when I rolled out of bed. I stumbled to my bathroom door, and opened it. Ahhh, I absolutley love having my own bathroom. Now that my older sister Jannett is off to college, it is mine! All mine!
"Good morning gorgeous." I said sarcastically as I looked at my tangled hair, and really sexy pillow crease mark on my right cheek. The clock read 6:30, and I new Hunter, my best friend, and neighbor, would still be passed out until at least 7:00. She's lucky we don't live that far from school, and it doesn't take her an hour to get ready in the morning.
I went to my bedroom window facing Hunter's room, and noticed that she was, indeed, asleep.
"Hunter! Yo, Hunt! Get your ass up! We have to make a stop and get bagles this morning. Remember? It is Friday!" I screamed as I threw random writing tools at her window. If I was over there right now, I would open up those damn curtains and let in the sunshine.
See, the thing about Hunter is, she is a little shy, and likes her privacy. She isn't on of those kids who were abused or anything, she just prefers some boundaries...that is until I came around. After two years, in seventh grade, she started forming into her own person. Most of the insecurities went down the drain, and she became a little frisky. When I say shy,I mean boy shy....really boy shy. We are working on that right now.
She started to move the drapes, and opened the window.
"What the hell, man!" She screamed, well tried to scream. She had that groggy, and raspy morning voice. I giggled.
"Morning sleepng beauty. Did we wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?" I teased.
"Chase! You know as well as the next person, that I am not a morning person."
"Hunter!" I mocked. "Quit your bitchin', and get ready. It's Friday."
"Shit! I forgot. Sorry C. Is your brother coming with us, or is he going out to breakfast with Erik?"
"Erik. It's 3 months for them today. Be ready in forty-five minutes." I shut the window, and went across the hall, and into my brother, Daniel's, room.
"Danny? D? Where are you?" I asked as I searched through his room, closet, and bathroom. I should really get him to help me organize my closet. Everything was catagorized by color for clothes, and brand for shoes. If you hadn't noticed, Daniel is gay. Oh, and he is my twin. He is my other best friend.
"Chase-y?" He asked entering his bedroom. "What's up?"
"Oh nothing. I was just wondering what time you were leaving to go see Erik, or if he was already here."
"He just arrived. His mom dropped him off. I hope you don't mind, but can you and Hunter drop us off at the book store about two blocks away from school?"
"Sure thing. Is your car still acting up?"
"Nah. Mom is "restricting" me from driving. No car for a week." He said with a dramatic eye roll and air quotes.
Did my brother seriously get grounded for something? Hell must have frozen over.
"Dude! What did you do?" I was so damn curious as to what goody-two-shoes did.
"I stayed out two hours past curfew. Nothing too big."
"You got guts, kid."
"Don't call me "kid" Chase. You are a minute older than me. You aren't Jannett. Plus, I have height over you." He said with a cheesey grin.
"Five inches! Big deal. I can still kick your ass." I lightly kicked him.
"Just go get ready." He said while chuckling.
I stuck my tongue out, and walked back to my bedroom. I put on my favorite pair of jeans, and a Harley Davidson T-shirt, along with a pair of riding boots. I love my motorcycle, and riding. I kind of love my boots a little more at the moment. Hunter got them for me for Christmas, and it was what you call a "Christmas Miracle". I am six foot, and my shoe size is anywhere from a 11-13 in womens. Shoes can be a bitch to find. Thank God I have Hunter though.
I walked into the bathroom, and suddenly wished one of Hunter and my friends, Monique, was here to do my hair, Her braids kick ass, and stay in all day. When you are riding, you want your hair to stay in one place, and look good when you take the helmet off. I just put my blonde locks into a pony-tail and slipped the braid cover on, grabbing the comb for later. I applied little makeup, and grabbed my jacket, keys, and backpack, and headed downstairs.
"Good morning, biker babe." Erik said as I walked into the kitchen. He was about 100% more feminine than Daniel was, and I absolutely loved that about him.
"Hey there." I smiled. "Are we about ready to go? Hunter is going to drive you guys, and I am going to ride. I am heading to work after school."
"Sounds fabulous. Let me just go grab Danny, and we will be on our way."
He walked up the stairs, and I noticed a note on the counter top.
Good morning kids-
We won't be home til around 10, - date night.
C- There is a lunch packed for you in the fridge, and an extra water bottle for after school. I hope you have an eventful day at school, and a great time on your first day at work. Ride safely, and look both ways ;)
D- We are going to drop by your health store and pick up some more of your "healthy foods" on our way home. We got you a garden burger, just the way you like it from the diner down the road for lunch today, hope that will do. Oh, and Happy 3 months to you and Erik.
Love,
Mom and Dad
My parents were pretty cool people. They were completely accepting of my motorcycle, and Daniel's sexuality. My mother, Lana, is an OBGYN, and my father, Damien, owns several buisnesses throughout town.
"Ready!" I heard Erik sing as he entered the room.
"Otay!" I teased him with a wink. " You guys go on over to Hunter's place, and I will be there in a sec. Let me gear up. Tell her that I want to go to A Cup Of Joe today.
"Alrighty" Erik smiled.
I went into the garage, and put on my bandana, glasses, leather jacket, gloves, and helmet. I mounted my Harley, and started the engine. I backed out, and had Hunter close the garage with the clicker. With a roar of my engine, I took lead to the book store.
This was a great start to my Friday. I wonder what I have destined for today.
