Stephen's pov

I stood next to the door of a shop, checking every person that walked by. None of them matched the description I'd been given. Then again, all the guy could describe of this person was the hoodie they wore that had a dragon design. I tapped my foot once, pushing myself off the wall as I was getting stiff from standing in the same position for so long. While I stretched out my arms, I noticed it. Someone passing with a hoodie that matched the description and their hood up. I watched them continue along the street before following, keeping at a distance so they wouldn't notice me. They kept going until the reached a tall apartment complex. Instead of going through the main door like I thought, they instead scaled the metal fencing that kept the back separated. They landed on the other side and rounded the corner of the building. The cloak lifted me up over the fence and onto the other side. I tapped it where my shoulder is as thanks and circled around to the back. The person had disappeared. I looked around but saw nothing. A loud clank brought my attention to a window that belonged to the basement of the building I was next to. I crouched down and pushed the window. It wasn't locked. I slipped through the space, the cloak trailing in behind me as I landed on my feet. The window snapped shut a few seconds after I landed. I looked around. The room was dimly lit from the windows and a warm glow from further into the room. I walked towards the glow which was situated behind a large yet worn armchair. The source of the glow was a few candles that were held up in varying candle holders and candelabra that scattered the spot. Aside from the chair, there was a matching couch opposite which had a few pillows and a blanket scattered across it while one pillow lay slumped on the floor. A large fluffy rug sat between the two with a few random objects scattered across it and a table sat at the far side with a radio and old TV set sitting on it with some VHS and DVD's stacked next to the respective players. There was no sign of the person anywhere around. I turned around only to be greeted with a broom shoved near my face.
"Who are you and how did you find me?" The person who spoke had a lighter voice, although it sounded horse and weak. In the dim light I could make a few things out about the person in front of me. The hood was down so I could see the full extent of her long white hair that had mixes of different colours that faded in near the tips. Her skin was dull and pale, looking like she should be in a hospital bed and not a dingy basement. The broom itself was clutched tightly in both hands which shook ever so slightly.
"My name is Stephen Strange and I followed you. You weren't that secretive about your location" she looked down at the floor then back at me, pushing the broom closer. The bristles poked at my face and I stepped back.
"Look I'm not going to hurt you. Could you just put the broom away" her eyes narrow before she swings the broom at my leg. I bend over, biting my lip from the pain. She stands up straight, the handle of the broom clinking against the stone of the floor. While I was bent over, I noticed the fabric that was wrapped around her leg, there was a dark stain seeping through it. I stood up.
"Can I see your leg?" she stepped back.
"I'm a doctor. I know what I'm doing and that doesn't look like a casual fashion choice" She looked at me but circled around to sit in the chair, extending her leg although she kept one hand outstretched towards a nearby candle. I approached and bent down next to her, unwrapping the fabric. Her leggings had been torn down the way with a deep cut running down along the tear. It was fresh and infected.
"Did you treat this when it happened?" I asked, she leaned her cheek on one hand.
"No" she muttered. I looked around but couldn't find any disinfectant anywhere.
"I need to get some medicaments to help treat that wound. I will be back but until then, stay off that leg" I ordered. I turned away, waving my hands in a circle to open a portal and step through it. Now that I knew where I was going, I wouldn't need to bother about sneaking about anymore and could just portal my way back.
