Hey it's me i thought i would be good to start with this as i struggle with it. The video goes along with what i'm talking about so please watch it.
Everyone thinks swimming is all about training swimming up and down the pool countless length after length. It is but there's a lot more to it. That's where the mental part comes in most people can swim up and down a pool but it takes a lot to go through the gruelling training sesions we do. We streive to have the best technique. To be the fastest. To be the best but it takes a lot to get there. No matter how hard it is to beleive everyone starts at the bottom and the the training sesions are part of getting to the top. Our coaches can teach all the technique nd help us get faster and try and make us mentally strong but we need to fdo most of that for ourselfs. You can't be the best in the pool if you aren't the best mentally.
How do i know ths i struggle with it before i swim a race i doubt myself which holds me back. The part of swimming is like my worst eneime haveing to beleive in myself every time i get in that pool is hard. No one understands how hard it isapart from other swimmers. I guess that's why i'm writing this hoping some of you reading can help me or i can help you we all have our own ways of getting through the gruelling training sesions and i'd love it if we could share them.
