Summer Cold

Blankets and Hot Choco

Sheena's in her room, all lights off just like how she likes it and the aircon is turned on. It doesn't feel like summer to her. She was wearing an oversized hoodie and pajamas as she tucked herself in her bed.

A lazy and such a slowww day. Sheena doesn't feel like moving at all. So even if she started feeling cold in her hoodie and thin blanket, she just put herself in a fetus position and tried not to get bothered by the cold.

The door to her room then opened, revealing Gwen.

"Huy bebe, bat nakapatay nanaman ilaw mo. Ang dilim!" Gwen turned on the lights making Sheena complain.

"Ate Gwen waggggg," Sheena put the blanket all over her face.

"Jusq parang nasa ibang bansa ata ako? Ang alam ko kasi summer ngayon eh pero nagyeyelo dito sa kwarto mo." Gwen said as she walked towards Sheena's bed.

The younger girl put down the blanket slightly, only revealing her eyes. "Kaya nga may aircon eh."

Gwen shook her head in amusement. "Nilalamig ka masyado, hinaan ko ung aircon?"

"Wag! Okay na yan."

The oldest of the two stared at Sheena before saying, "Ay wait!" She hurriedly went out of the room while Sheena looked curious.

Sheena sat up on her bed and fixed her hair. She put her phone on the small table next to the bed and was about to get out and follow Gwen but the latter suddenly appeared again.

"Eto bebe oh." Gwen put the furry blankets on Sheena's lap and then quickly went out, again.

"Ate gwen ang kapal naman neto!" Sheena called out. She grabbed the thick blanket and put it over her.

"Wow," The blanket was so warm and cozy. Sheena immediately got comfortable in it.

Just as Gwen came back with two cups in her hands, Sheena sneezed quite loudly.

"Oh ayan diba nilamig ka na talaga." Gwen went towards the small table and put the mugs over.

"Ano yan? Choco?" 

Gwen nodded. "Swiss miss yan, mainit." She sat on the bed next to Sheena and went inside the covers.

"Wowww ang inittt." Gwen exclaimed and laughed.

"Ang warm kaya." Sheena laughed at herself, "Ang warm eme."

"Conyo naman beb," Gwen laughed and reached out for the mugs and gave one to Sheena.

"Galing kasi ako sa labas ang init kaya don." Gwen continued.

"Thank you." Sheena said as she hold her mug of hot choco.

They were on the bed, silently appreciating each other's presence. Gwen leaned on Sheena and pinched her cheeks. 

"Ang cute cute talaga ng cheeks mo." 

Sheena didn't react and just let her do it. She was used to it. Gwen always do it every chance she gets anyway.

Then Gwen side hugged her and started humming.

"Ate Gwen." Sheena said.

"Hmm? Bakit?"

"Tama ba tong ginagawa natin?"

Gwen looked at her confusedly. "Anong ginagawa natin?"

"Hindi, I mean. Etong path natin, tama naman siguro ginagawa natin ngayon noh?"

Sheena sipped her choco as she stared at nothing.

"Sa BINI?"

The younger girl nodded her head.

"Of course! Para sakin tama, sa tingin mo ba hindi?"

"What if hindi tayo nag PBB?"

"Edi hindi tayo nagkakilala."

"Gusto ko lang naman sumayaw."

"Tungkol ba to sa vocal lessons?"

Sheena sighed and put down her mug on the bedside table. "Lahat kayo nag iimprove, feel ko hindi ako maka keep up. Wala lang, confident naman ako. Alam mo yun, hindi ko lang maiwasan magisip minsan."

"Nag iimprove ka rin naman eh. Actually alam mo, ung official positions natin label lang yan. Tayong walo, lahat tayo kumakanta, nag rarap, at sumasayaw. And for sure mag iimprove pa tayo ng mag iimprove."

Gwen looked at Sheena as she tightened her hug while the girl silently listens.

"At alam mo. Sa tingin ko nasa tamang path ako kasi kasama ko kayo. Magkasama tayo at hindi ko magagawa to kapag wala kayo o pag wala ka."

"Sweet mo naman ate Gwen." Sheena chuckled. 

"Totoo nga!" 

"Alam ko, thank you."

The oldest of the two pinched her cheeks again. "Cute mo!"

"Aray kooo," Sheena complained when Gwen pinched her a little bit too hard.

"Wag ka na mag over think, mag movie night na lang tayo mamaya sabihan ko sila."

"Okayyy."

Sheena smiled when her Ate Gwen went out of the room just to call the girls. She was really lucky to have seven other sisters with her. She would never trade them for another. They're like the comfort of a warm blanket in the summer cold.
