As the rain lashed downwards and lightening crashed and lit up the midnight sky there was loud ear piercing scream from inside the warehouse. It was the first victim's death cry. Mia tried to huddle closer into her hiding place but even her petite figure couldn't hide from this person. To Mia he wasn't even a person more like a hideous creature from the pits of hell especially after what her pale blue eyes witnessed; no 13 year old should ever have to witness what she saw. She tried to contain her flowing tears but she couldn't get the memory to go away, they kept repeating themselves over and over like a nightmare but only difference is that this was real life and she had just witnessed her best friend's brutal murder in front of her and she was stuck in this empty warehouse with her nine other classmate all playing the deadly game. She let her blonde hair sweep over her face and let it cover her face in shame.
She shouldn't have survived, she shouldn't have been a coward and hid behind the over turned couch, she should have saved Lea but now she was left crying beside her best friends corpse ,which laid in a large pool of crimson blood, unrecognisable. How was she ever going to escape from this torture? It was all a game to him... killing them off one by one. Torturing them by stalking the corridors, his heavy footsteps echoing as he sauntered along the long corridors meandering in out of rooms and they were coming closer and closer to where her quivering body hid until she heard the harsh whisper. Her heart stopped in sudden horror.
Everything froze. There standing tall was the nightmare hauntingly grinning at her. This couldn't be happening; it was all going to end. She prayed that the floor would open up. There was a roar of thunder. The floor quaked beneath her. She felt paralysed with terror. The floor boards creaked and groaned. The floor gave away. Her prayers were answered. She fell ungracefully through the floor and landed awkwardly on the pile of rubble beneath; he looked down upon her and fled rapidly. Mia caught the glimpse of him but she soon had other problems to deal with.
As she swept her eyes over the room, to her utter dismay. This was the room where four people were taking refuge in .Remembering vaguely, there was a girl with brown hair weeping into Douglass' muscular arms, she thought her name was Addison, she also recalled Daniel and Karen was in the back corner of the room. Remembering the way they looked at each with the glimmer in their green eyes was a fond memory. Glancing to the spots where she last saw them she saw their bodies a tangled and bloodied mess, beaten up from the collapsed floor. The memories floating back to her and drawing tears to her eyes but she didn't have time for mourning. She had to get out of here and get justice for this monster. Mia glanced at them, 5 down 5 to go.
Knowing that she had to move quickly, Mia scrambled to her feet. The pain blasted through her leg. She fell to the ground in agony. Footsteps came running down the hall way, Mia tried to shuffle backwards into the corner but she was caught up with the rubble. The footsteps charged on down the corridor. Could it be him again here to finish her off? She silenced her breath. The footsteps stopped outside. Silence overtook. The soft voice of Lily whispered "Mia?" Taking a sigh of relief she called out to her. Lily slowly shoved open the door shifting the few blocks of rubble barricading around the oak door. Her tangled mess of red hair came through the creak of the door then her face, a complete mess of blood, sweat and tears peered through followed by her whole body and she slid in silently letting the door fall back into its original position. Kneeling down beside her she whispered "Is everything ok? Do you know if everybody else is alive?"Mia cried her reply. Lily's eyes widened. Looking around the room her jade eyes lay upon the corpses. Coming to her senses she took hold of Mia's arm firmly and helped her up "We better get moving we don't want to get found "As Mia tried to haul herself up the pain became more unbearable and at that moment a gunshot rung out through the warehouse and masculine yelp of pain echoed, they became motionless. Mia strained to figure out where it came from but they were certain that was the death cry of the sixth victim; Luke.
