Your pov:
I was beyond bordem, laying on the dark forest green grass, which seemed to be just freshly cut, just staring at the dark clouds, that foreshadowed the moon lit sky. Was there nothing to do around here? I mean, don't get me wrong..it has been very peaceful ever since cuphead and mugman totally destroyed the devil..I mean burning down that whole factory sort of thing he had going on, pure genius! However, though peaceful, it was so..how do I say this. Quite? It was too quite..yea. Well without having the devil running around like a kid in a candy shop, being devious as he is, I guess there is nothing to worry about..no..excitement. Though everything around me was boring, why would I have too be bored too? So I thought of what I could do. "What is super fun and will keep me entertained around here?" I thought too myself as I stared down the fluffy, dark clouds in the dark sea of sky above me. "I can go gambling!" I shouted to myself as I shot up from the forest green grass I have been laying on for what seemed to be decades now. "I wonder if there are any good Cassinos around here...?" I then mumbled under my breath, as I scanned my surroundings with my big green eyes. Suddenly I came to a holt, as a smirk slowly formed on my face. "The Devils Cassino, eh?" I said slowly, while big flashing letters blinked at me, as if they were trying to tell me to come inside already. I got up, patting myself down off the grass, and started marching across the street to this huge, brightly lit Cassino. I stopped at the entrance, and took a few steps back. I suddenly remembered that this was The Devils Cassino. As in Satan himself. As in the one feared by all. Well, except for me, I was a rather brave one despite first impressions. Just as I was brave, I was cautious. I promised myself that no matter what I wouldn't bet my soul on anything. No matter how tempting. I wasn't about to lose my soul to some devilish creatures. I took a deep breath and strutted in. Almost immediately I was met with insanely bright lights, followed along with laughter, talking, the smell of booze, and what appears to be someone..crying? I assume they lost big. Maybe their soul even.."I have to be careful." I thought to myself. No later than a second I was met with a dashing young man, who had the most outstanding purple suit I've seen in ages, and what appeared to be, a dice for a head? "Hello my dear, how may I assist you on this dashing night?" The dice had said with a smirk on his face, holding his hand out as he bowed, but maintained eye contact. I was a bit caught of guard by his sudden appearance, but kept the conversation going. "Well mr.." I said slowly, frantically searching for a name tag only too find it just before it got awkward, "King dice,..this is my first time at this Cassino, however I'm not new to gambling, what would you recommend?" I said, than taking his hand he had held out earlier, with a slight smile on my face. "Well doll, how about we play a match, and I can recommend a table for you too play from our game results?" He said with a slight smirk, and with a eye brow raised too the offer. "W-well I don't see why not!" You had stuttered, being a bit imitated to the fact how he hasn't broken eye contact whatsoever. "Excellent~.." King dice had said with a clever tone in his soothing voice. "How about a game of poker? You play, doll?" He said, finally giving freedom to your hand as he tucked his own in his right pants pocket. "Do I play?" You said with a slight chuckle, "you're on, yatzee~" You said in a even more clever tone. Its seems you had caught the fine young man off guard, as for he started to stumble on his words. "Y-ya-yatzee..?" He finally managed to say. "Nervous already? I can't believe it! Yet here I was nervous I may lose...you can't even keep your words together! Makes me doubt you'll keep those cards together. The dice laughed it off, "You're on, pretty face."
(Small time skip to where your both situated at a table, cards ready to play.)
Suddenly the air had become so, so very thick. However I wasn't nervous. Only a fool would be nervous. You heard King dice snicker under his breath. "This game won't last long.." he laughed. "Indeed.." I said, looking at my cards. In a second he layed down a full house, and I couldn't help but laugh at this hand. "Your kidding me, right?" You snarled, trying to keep it together. You layed your cards. "A.." King dice stuttered. "A royal flush." You said, completing his weak attempt of speaking too you. At that moment, a swarm of people surrounded. "Did they just beat the king dice?" "They beat the manager!" "I bet he is pissed!" "Who is this kid..?" Whispers swarmed the room, making the room impossible to quite down. "Well King dice, how you holding up..?" I couldn't help saying, as I broke out into laughter. Maybe this Cassino isn't that all bad.
(For the next few hours you kept the games going. Taker after taker, loser after loser. You felt unstoppable. Either you were a God at gambling or they were absolute shit. Though, you'd like to believe you were just a god.)
Still your pov:
"Any more takers~?" You laughed, leaning back in your chair. "Actually, I think I'd have a go with tonight's special~.." said a evil, British demon in the back. Soon who realized this was no demon. No demon at all. This was the big man. The devil took a seat across from you, and he smiled as a glimmer shinned in his big, candle lit yellow eyes. You could've been lost in those eyes forever if you didn't snap back to reality in the next minute. "You've been tonight's spotlight, not losing once. Even to my number one.." The Devils snarled, then shooting a glare to King dice, who had been hiding his face out of the pure embarrassment of losing to the newbie. "I guess I'll take you up, not that im losing any confidence." I said in the most cocky tone I could muster. "Oh good job y/n! Getting cocky with the devil! Are you trying to get murdered?!" I thought to myself. "Cocky..for a soon to be loser.." the Devil said, staring into my eyes, not breaking eye contact for a second. "You know what? Let's make a bet." I blurted out without thinking even the tiniest bit. "Oh ho ho ho.." The devil laughed, now smiling the biggest, most terrifying smile you could have ever managed to show. "Alrighty then..how about this..you win, you get to take over the place, and run it as your own. However..if I win, you give me your soul." It was so tempting. The only thing I wanted was to say yes, but I knew I couldn't. I promised myself I wouldn't bet my soul for anything. No matter how tempting. "I will have to decline your offer, though tempting. How about this sweetie? If I win, you have to give everyone's soul back to whoever lost theirs in this Cassino. However, if I lose..I'll work here. For the rest of time. For as long as Cassino is standing here. Deal?" I said in a clever tone, however still flabbergasted that I called the devil 'sweetie'. "Well..that sound like one hell of a deal." He asserted.
(Than the game was on. For hours you both went back in fourth, sure that you guys had one another stuck, right before the other one found a away to keep this bone chilling game going. Sooner or later, the game would come to a gasp worthy ending.)
Still your pov:
"Damn..I'm for sure going to lose this one..my cars are the worst!" I thought to myself. You looked up only to see a rather joyful look printed on the Devils face. "On three, hm~?" Suggested the rather extatic devil. "O-on three.." I stumbled. Bam. It was over. He layed down a royal flush. It felt as if regret was being fed to you on a plate. "HAH!" The devil snorted. "Well what do you know? Guess I got myself a new pet." The devil said with a smug look on his face. "DICE!" Ordered the devil. "Go get the contracts and meet us in my office once you do. Come on pet~, we have work to do."
Authors note: I hope you liked my first chapter of this series. I loved writing this, so I truly do hope you loved reading it. Don't be shy to let me know if you want more! Please tell me what you thought. Feedback helps so, so much. I hope my questionable grammer/spelling didn't mess you up too much now. I will definitely be trying to improve on that as we go.
