Who has ever been nervous to walk home late at night?
So much so that the sight
Of a shadow has you searching for its owner
Even if that's yourself.
And the snap of a twig has got your heart pounding
Because the surrounding area is unknown
And how many of you get faster those last few streets
Checking back hoping your eyes dont meet
A stranger following behind
Your mind creates these fictitious scenes
Hoping you'll scream at each and every flicker in the moonlight
Because tonight might not be the night you make it home
When your house comes into view do you
Speed up desperate to jog up those final steps
And throw open the door
Because you dont want to see what happens next
If you don't.
Should I say more?Or do you get the picture?
