Two Little Ghosts Chapter 12

Hermione and Harry ventured off to Ireland after going to the ferry on Britain's coast and sliding on the banisters over the flight of stairs. It was a green rolling hills land that greeted them. They traveled between farms, villages, some stacked cities, and found another ghost!

The ghost was named "The Fat Friar" and he came back to his hometown each summer to help with the festival that lasted a whole month! Harry and Hermione helped the older ghost with the visitors and had a grand time doing it! The visitors promptly freaked out when they heard giggling with no one behind them. They tried the local fanfare and it was delicious! They agreed that beer wasn't to their taste it tasted like wheat but make it smelly. The wine was too bitter they had to have at least 3 lollipops to get the aftertaste of the wine out. The best drinks were these fruity drinks. The Friar called the fruity drinks modern time cocktails and the younger ghosts were giggly for hours after and laid in the ground surrounded by hale bales cuddling.

They did go to Wales and have luncheon with the Malfoys. It was a wonderful time and showed Harry and Hermione what a real family was like. Draco Malfoy was allowed to do a variety of things as long as he was safe doing it and was allowed to speak as much as he wanted. The concept of safety and parents wanting their child to be safe was foreign to the ghosts. The Malfoy adults even treated Harry and Hermione like their own despite their obvious differences in nature. The whole family enjoyed being with Harry and Hermione and asked for them to return next summer and maybe spend a more lengthy period of time together. Harry and Hermione were eager at the thought of being with the Malfoys as well.

Hermione and Harry went to Scotland for a short while. They traveled around a magical town called Hogsmeade and there was a nearby magical school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was more out in the open than the hidden Diagon Alley or isolated like the Malfoys mansion. There were a lot of creatures living in the forest that was just as put off by them as Harry and Hermione were by the creatures.

Harry ended up meeting a very pretty ghost lady and still stoutly stated that no one could beat Hermione's looks though. Harry told the ghostly Lady who he was and her eyes about popped out of her face. She said he was supposed to be in the "muggle" world and more importantly he was supposed to be alive! Harry shrugged his shoulders and said that fell through since his relatives murdered him and the goblins said they'd punish the living for me so no big deal. The Lady tried to grab him to bring him to the very person he never wanted to meet DumbleyDore!

Harry found Hermione in a tower filled with owls. He told Hermione that they were actually in Dumbledore's territory and even the fellow ghosts follow his orders around here. Hermione and Harry traveled as fast as they could to get away from Hogwarts until they ended up in France.

Hermione and Harry noticed that a lot of young or old couples kissing from where they were floating. Hermione & Harry, Harry & Hermione liked the way their names sounded when put together. When they came across a sign that said the tower in front of them was the 'Effiel' Tower they were a bit confused. Were there other towers that they had to differentiate between this 'Effiel' kind or whatnot? They also couldn't see the point of pressing their lips together. They agreed that when they were older they would see if it was worth the hype but would be fine without the tongues or teeth that some people were doing with their chosen partners.

Another thing Harry and Hermione learned while in France was the creativity or simplistic use of 'endearments' which Hermione said was defined as a word or phrase expressing love or affection.

Harry and Hermione had never known love or physical affection but they knew that they wanted to stay together forever. When a man proposed to a woman saying just what their feelings conveyed they just accepted that they were in love and would probably kiss each other when they were older. They wouldn't realize for a long time that they would never grow up since they became ghosts as children.
