Thank you for giving this a chance!
I experimented with several plotlines before choosing this one. A simple emotional journey of a woman who is struggling to reach out for help. Whether it's the idea that she must hit rock-bottom first, or it's her inability to explain her disconnection with pleasure, or it's the shame she's being forced to experience as a result of her mother's unacceptance—all of it is an ugly consequence of the stigma surrounding mental health.
Since this book deals with sensitive themes, please proceed carefully. There are descriptions of depression, mentions of passive suicide ideation and lack of family support.
