Prologue - The Old War

'Darkness, all I could see was darkness. It was suffocating me. It gripped me like a cold vise, chilling me to the bone. My family, slaughtered.' "Run, don't look! Run!!! No...NO!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!" 'Her blood, still stained on my shirt. The memory of my mom, now an unrecognizable bloodied pile, still haunts my mind.

'The village, in ruins.' "Where are the artifacts?" An orokin clone soldier, rifle raised, aimed at the chief of the village. 'When he said we do not have any, he was gunned down. The rest set fire to the village, burning the women and children.'

'And for me? Captured and staring down the barrel of the gun, knowing all too well that they will not be taking prisoners. But right as it seemed all hope was lost, you came like an angel.'

"Raghhh!" Their comrade was suddenly impaled by a kunai. The soldiers caught by surprised, immediately turned towards their assailant where another one was met with a blade in the chest. That was when we saw the Lotus symbol on his left shoulder. "Tenno skoom!" They opened fire, but he did not hesitate to step forward and immediately cover the distance between him and the soldiers, deflecting the bullets and slicing all of them in half in one swift movement.

'Frightened by the amount of blood and gore that was infront of me, I scurried backwards. Looking up at the figure, he flicked his sword to get rid of the blood stains, and offered me his hand. That was when I realized this was the Warframe, Excalibur. With his help, the remaining survivors and I were escorted to a nearby village, soon named Cetus.'

'As years passed, legends about other Warframes, Tenno, started being spread around the village. Hope and determination fueled us with the will to go on. And soon, the Tenno stormed Earth's orokin capital, signalling an end to an Empire.'

'Then they left. Forgotten. Like a dream.'

Centuries later

Panting, a girl ran, looking back to make sure she was not being followed and put on her hood. The Grineer, seeds from the ruins of the Old War, were swallowing coloniess whole, hunting down any Tenno before they had the chance to awake from their slumber.

The girl ran to the old orokin temple. In there she found what she had been hoping to find. The Warframe, Excalibur, knelling at the centre of there room so still he was like a statue. His skin, turned to dull grey like stone. 'This is it. This is the Warframe that has saved my bloodline." The girl then had flashback of her father, telling how her ancestors was saved by this very person. Slowly and gently, she laid a Lotus flower infront of him.

"You have saved my family countless times all those infinite years ago. I am eternally. But now it is the end for me." Sounds of metal footsteps could now be heard. However, she did not turn away from him. "Now, you need to come back. I beg you."

"We need you" Just as the words left her lips, the girl disappeared. Leaving a trail of blue aura. At this point, the Grineer had already entered the room confused to where she has gone. Suddenly a storm formed outside the orokin structure and a bolt of lightning struck down on Excalibur. Realizing what was happening they stepped back and put up their arms.

'Wake up Tenno.' At first, his fingers twitched, making the debris around him crack. His hand suddenly break free and closed into a fist. 'Wake up.'
