With everything Sage had been through over the day, she didn't desire to top it off with dying. However, as she stood in the back of the chariot she couldn't help but think it violated some major safety laws.

There were no seatbelts, in fact there were no seats. Piper, Jason, Leo and Sage were all crammed into the back, standing shoulder to shoulder. Annabeth was tinkering with some sort of bronze navigational system, while Butch held the reigns of the horses. The back of the chariot was open, begging to suck of them into the sky. Sage could see her headstone now 'death by getting into a stranger's flying chariot'. They hadn't even needed to offer her candy.

Wind surged forth, ensnaring Sage in it's icy grasp. It slashed at her like it had talons, and nipped her like it had the teeth of a shark. Her hands clutched the partition in the middle of the chariot tightly. Her dark hair whipped around eagerly, spinning in the wind like a ballerina.

Maybe Sage was a tag more scared of heights than she thought. The only sign of her fear was her pale knuckles, as she managed to keep her face a clean slate. Her lips were pulled into an even line, and her gaze moved with the clouds they passed.

She counted the white blobs, observing the way they all drifted together like water. Constantly moving and morphing into something new, with fluidity and grace. Sage wondered if she'd ever gain the ability to be reborn into a new purpose, when she completed what the earth asked of her. Like the clouds who linked with their neighbors, to create something new.

Sage took a small breath, sadly inhaling the musty scent coming from the ones in the backseat. Everyone's clothes were damp, and Leo was doused in dirt from toppling towards the bottom of the canyon. At least they were still alive though.

As opposed to Sage's anything but serene attitude, Leo seemed utterly excited. His eyes were bright as the lightning Jason had been hit with. He bounced where he stood, his gaze hastily roaming the sky with eagerness. "This is so cool!" He exclaimed, after spitting out a rogue pegasus feather. "Where are we going?" He didn't seem the slightest bit worried about the answer. Sage sometimes was unsure if Leo was plain stupid, or extremely brave. Maybe a mix of the two.

Annabeth glanced back at the four of them, but focused on Leo for a moment. Her exterior had seemed to cool from it's boiling red anger from earlier. Sage was very aware of the keen way the moved, and watched them, but at least she didn't want to kill Jason now. Not as much, anyway. "A safe place," she said. "The only safe place, for kids like us," Annabeth explained, before turning back to the horizon.

"Half-bloods?" Sage heard this name being thrown around, but no one had explained what it meant. She titled her head slightly, watching Annabeth carefully, but her mind was somewhere else. She didn't even notice the betrayed and defensive motion of Piper straightening her shoulders and glaring.

Sage had been having strange occurrences ever since she was young. The very first strange thing she could remember was when she was five. She had hit brat of a kid bite her in kindergarten, and when she tried to pry him away she'd... seen something. For no longer than a couple seconds, a flash had danced in her vision along with the sight of a briefcase, an engagement ring, and a hospital bed with an old man. There was also a warmth like the one from before when it happened.

As if she was surging with heat, in the most soothing and comfortable way. Like sunspots were making their through her spirit, making her glow within.

"Precisely," Annabeth agreed. "The place we're taking you is called Camp Half- Blood."

Piper gave a cynical scoff, her demeanor changing completely. "Half-blood?" She spat this while balling her fists. "Is that some kind of bad joke?" Sage shook her head, hoping that isn't actually what Annabeth meant. Piper's grit teeth signaled she may have been ready to fight the blonde at any moment.
