Ashley's POV.
"Ash wake up we have school"
I heard someone shouting, but I kept ignoring this person since I'm not a morning person as you can assume.
"Ash we are running late for school, come on get your butt off this bed", Melissa groaned as she shook me with all her strength.
"Kay fine stop whining already, you are acting like a kid" I told her.
"No I am not, you're being irresponsible knowing that Mr.Duff hates students going late to school, and yet you are planning on getting us killed by him" Melissa lectured me.
"Ughh! I hate it when you go all responsible on me", I got up and headed to my bathroom, washed my face and teeth and then headed back to my dressing room.
"You have ten minutes to be ready, I'll wait in the kitchen downstairs and get something to eat, don't keep me waiting long or you know how I will .."
"Fine now leave me alone, I need to change" I interrupted her before she got to explain how she would cut my throat out.
Melissa is not as sweet as she looks sometimes, she can be a real "Hulk" if she needs to.
I changed into black leggings and a loose white half sleeved shirt since I don't really like being all fancy for school. I wore my favorite white long neck converse, and put my hair in a messy bun.
I grabbed a grey sweatshirt just in case I felt cold, wore my mom's favorite golden watch, took my back-bag and went downstairs.
I don't really get why girls like Claire Robinson dress fully up and have their faces all covered with make-up for school.
Claire Robinson is the most popular girl in our grade, I don't really understand why, but I guess she is so, since she is from the Robinson family, one of the most rich and wealthy families in South Carolina.
Girls like Claire need to understand that school is a place where we learn, not show off how nice our clothes are.
I know I may sound wise and lame but that's the truth right?
As I entered the kitchen I found Melissa chatting along with Leila and Ryan. I love how close Melissa is to the whole family, Mom used to love her so much, she always considered Melissa as one of the family.
Of course dad would be at work now since he spends most of his time working his butt off, so he could afford all the bills and fees.
Ever since mom died, he has been so shut off from everything, that even his fellow doctors and best friends noticed that.
"You ready Ash?" Melissa snapped me from my thoughts
"Yup, let's go" I grabbed an Apple and headed to the door.
"Hey Ryan, come on I will drop you off at the bus pick-up station you and Leila so let's get going" I told Ryan as I took my car keys and went to our garage.
After I dropped off my siblings and went to school, we got the expected lecture and death glare from Mr.Duff, our school's principal.
Fortunately I had Melissa with me in most of my classes, so having Chemistry for my first period wasn't that bad.
After taking our seats and greeting our friends, the new teacher entered shutting us up. He looked like he just graduated college, to be honest he looked kind of attractive, but I can not have those thoughts right? I mean I'm dating Toby, and this is my teacher, so what was I thinking?
"My name is Christopher Blake, I am new here, and I'm going to be teaching you guys Chemistry, hope we spend good time together this year"

He finished explaination when there were ten minutes left for the bell to ring for our next class.
"Okay class, we're done for today but before you take the left time free for yourself, I will put you in pairs, each pair will have to work on every project and assignment I give you together, and at the end of the year, the best pair will get their full marks for chemistry."
Okay that sounded like a good deal to me, I hope he sets me with any of my friends.
"Hannah Clarkson and Melissa Jacobs"
Okay great now two of my closest friends are paired together.
I only have Jake, Jessica, Andrew and Toby left as my wanted options, and I really hope he doesn't put me with Toby since our relationship has been so weird the past couple of months.
"Claire Robinson and Jake White"
Great now Jake is taken.
"Jane Russo and Toby Benton"
Okay...
After calling out some more pairs, he finally called my name.
"Ashley Mitch and Nash Allen"
What? The new guy?! How awkward can that be? I didn't even notice him the first day at school when Mrs.Alex made him introduce himself in the beginning of our history class.
And one more thing, he's Mrs.Gray's nephew, so he's apparently my neighbor too.
Great.
"Are you done daydreaming?"
I turn around to find Nash staring at me with a smirk.
Looks like I kept him waiting long enough so he would give me such a first impression.
Rude.
